Hello 2012

Today is December 31 which means, once again, is the last Saturday and day of 2011.

At this time we usually start to think about what went wrong and right during the year and what we want to accomplish on the next.
Well, 2011 for me wasn't bad but wasn't good either. I honestly don't know what it was. Just another 12 months for me to grow old.

Anyway, I don't want this post to be boring, I wish you a great 2012. Pass the hour with your loved ones. I know by now in New Zealand they're already in 2012, so if you're from there: happy year for you! I hope you got in with your right foot!
But if you're like me and have a few hours to kill, well that 2012 be a good one for you. I really hope, from the bottom of my heart, that this one is going to be way, way better on every level.

Red Riding Hood 2011

Heya!

I got the chance to see Red Riding Hood today.

I saw the poster on the theater and said "oh ok...". Then time passed and I hadn't any will to see it. I wasn't interested at all about this film. But yesterday I saw an interview on Youtube with Max Irons and he has a important role in the movie, he plays Henry kind of the prince, so I was like "go watch it now!". Said and done.

I can not say I loved it because I didn't but is fine. Max is really cute there. The story is not what you think. The end is unexpected I can promise you that.

Healthy Chips

I'm always looking for some new snacks that aren't too sweet or unhealthy because I try my best to eat in a healthy way.
I was at the supermarket yesterday or the day before I don't know exactly and found these Terra Chips. I already knew dehydrated vegetables are delicious (despite those cereals with dehydrates fruits) but I had not found them yet.
I saw the package on the shelf and immediately took it. I had to try these chips.

New Year's Eve Nails

I'm looking for some nude but at the same time vibrant colour for my nails. I want something shinny but I think I'll wear shinny clothes so I don't want to look like a Christmas tree at night thus I was looking for some ideas as I did for Christmas and I'm sharing my favourites just like I did last week.

Christmas Presents #2

Here I am.
Second day on this Christmas-presents-kind-of-list.

I don't usually wear perfume. Sometimes I do wear but not every single day. Therefore I don't received many. To be honest I don't received perfumes. Period. But this year I got 3. I guess my family was trying to get back for all this time or trying to say I stink... I hope for the first, though.

Anyway. The first was given me by my parents and was Paco Rabanne's Lady Million. I bought this perfume in January as I wrote here but my bottle is now almost empty luckily my parents gave me another one but this time was the box version. The one that looks like a safe/vault.

Christmas Presents #1

I don't know if I'm going to post or talk about everything I've received. I have no idea if it would be interesting, going through every present, but in any case I'll probably write about a few. Like today. I'm almost sure it's my favourite.

December 25th

It's Christmas day!
Google theme is cute today, isn't it?
How was your night? Good? All the presents were what you wanted? I hope so. Mine were, kind of... haha I'll talk about that later.

For me the 25th is a little awkward because it is Christmas but at the same time it isn't. I mean you already have the presents and spent all night with your family and saw all the people you only see at this day and it's fun and all that but I don't know why it's awkward.
My family usually have lunch with all the family just like last dinner and at the afternoon each one goes to their homes. Just that. It's awkward. Oh and to complicate everything up the shopping center, shops and coffee shops and everything else is closed. Yeah, pretty boring day.

Anyway to finish this unhelpful post I decided to share this little video which has all the Christmas spirit we'll have again next year.

Disney's Aladdin

Hi!

I bought Aladdin in DVD today. Disney's version.

This one above is just like the one I have but mine has that golden cover that says "Classics". I hope you know what I'm talking.

I was looking for this movie for so long. I bought Hercules one year ago and at that time I already wanted Aladdin so as you can see for quite sometime.

I was super happy when I was paying the film. I'm sure that if anybody was looking at me they thought I was crazy. I know I sound like a little kid, but c'mon it's a classic. You never hate or make fun of a classic. Principally a Disney Classic ;)

Anyway, I love from the bottom of my heart Hercules. I've wrote here... God knows how may times but Aladdin is amazing as well. These two are my favourite Disney movies.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas

Yes, it is. I know in 4 four days is Christmas eve but even if we didn't have calendars we would know just by the spirit. If you look carefully when you're outside, you'll see people with theirs hand full of presents. The bakeries are full with characteristic food for this time. At night street are decorated with Christmas lights. It's cold. I don't know, but you can feel it in the air.

Yesterday, my friends and I went to one of the nearest shopping centers and did some Christmas shopping. We bought some things each one but nothing too fancy or expensive. Although was fun, fun, fun!

Today I did all my Christmas list. Before anything, this was the first year of my life that just a few days for Christmas I hadn't any present. Unbelievable.
My favourite present I bought today has to be Hugo Boss' Just Different perfume. Jared Leto is face of the fragrance so... but as a win, win it smells really good. Really! I'm going to steal the bottle from my dad many times I guess... haha

Happy First Anniversary MWT!

This is the 365th post on My Writing Thorp which means I reached one year of blogging!

I've tried many times before MWT to make a blog and write daily or almost but never had done it until today. I can say I've been a blogger for one entire year and couldn't be more amused with the results. It's been really fun. So I hope to make it to 2 years and have a similar post this time next year that would be amazing.

If you're a regular visitor, well thank you from the bottom of my heart ;) just thinking somebody takes their time reading some useless thing I wrote here makes me smile, so thanks.

Tymr

Hello!

Yesterday after receiving my email with the invitation I created a Tymr account.

It's a new social network thus is only available in Beta version but so far I enjoyed very much my waste of time searching around. 

The goal is for you to manage in a more organized and fun way every event you have in your life Any type of event as you can see by the image above - Museum, Nightclub and Grocery shop. May sound lame but believe me is super fun! 

When you sign in it will tell you what is going to happen around your zone which I think is pretty cool.

And as I wrote here many times I'm not a Facebook adept so every social network that appears now I'm always a bit doubtful about how original and useful will be and Tymr really surprised me. Now I just wait for the "normal" version.

Oh and the "clip" idea is adorable!

After what was said yesterday, today could not have been better example of how I want to spend these holidays.

One Year Ago...

...I created My Writing Thorp. On November 5th 2010 I made my first post. No, I did not forget but I don't have 365 post yet so I did not post anything saying it. Oh wait four days and the party starts ;)
Today is also one year anniversary of the 30 Seconds To Mars' concert I went and actually I publicized this event of my poor life here, if you haven't read it I'm sure you didn't lose anything exciting.

Update: when I wrote this post I totally forgot about Tumblr. Well, Tumblr is a bit different because I created my account in September 2010, so isn't really "one year ago" but one year and a couple of months ago :S

Today was the last day of school of 2011 and obviously of Christmas Term. I couldn't be happier. Now I can sleep until pretty late. Don't see those faces for two or three weeks and do nothing. Well, I do have to study for my exams in late January but not until next week. Sorry Mom, but this first week will be spent with anything but school. I want to occupy pretty much all my time with photography. It's been a very exciting and somehow successful way I've been spending my time with. Oh and obviously spend time with my friends that's something that doesn't need to be said.
Thus I could not be in better mood, right now. (Finally!)

Black Butler

Hello!

These past 3 weeks, I think, I wrote here a couple of Anime tv shows I was started seeing and later would express my opinion about them, right? Well, I watched some episodes of each and they just didn't captured my interest anyhow but yesterday I accidentally got to see the first episode of Black Butler.

I'm at episode 5 now so I don't know much about the whole storyline but from what I've been watching it's impossible to not be glued to the screen until the end of every ep.

In my opinion is very... mysterious. I mean on the first episode you are not explained about Ceil or Sebastian's story or any detail about their personal life.

I discovered that it ends on season 2 and there aren't many episodes as there were on the first, so without knowing the end I say please make a third one!

Even thought Sebastian is "evil", who on earth wouldn't want a butler like him?? 

I know one person: myself.

Legend Of Zelda - Link's Beanie

Heya!

My passion for the The Legend Of Zelda the Nintendo game is no secret, I grew up playing it with my brothers and even nowadays we still play it, not so often but still. Skyward Sword is pretty amazing but my favourite is Ocarina Of Time - LOVE IT! - and we can't wait for Nintendo U to play the new game. By its trailer... wow! We were blown away.

Hey!

I'm seriously looking for a cute (girly even) case for my reflex camera. I have the one I bought when I got the camera but is just plain black without nothing colourful or inspiring because photography for me is that. Something inspiring.
I've been looking everywhere online and on every photography store that may have and just found a Japanese (I think) website that has some pretty cases for basically every possible type of camera. I don't know If I'm going to buy one because it'd be expensive with the taxes and also I don't want to spend too much money on a camera case... but again, they're really cute ;)
