What To Expect When You're Expecting (2012)

Heya!

Today I saw What To Expect When You're Expecting.

I have to confess something shameful: I only to see this film because of Chace Crawford. Yup, that's right.
But in the end the film is kind of funny and is easy to watch.

Basically this is about a few women who get pregnat at the same time and the whole film is about how each one of them reacts to it. Meanwhile there's the husbands point of view wich is pretty fun.

Here's the trailer:

Jennifer L. Armentrout - Shadows

Hey!

Even though I'm taking a break from reading I still have 8 books to review or talk about here.
Here's one: Shadows written by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

"The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. As a Luxen, an alien life form on Earth, human girls are... well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane.

Dangerous. Tempting. Undeniable.

Bethany can't deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren't a complication she wants, she can't stay away from him. Still, whenever they lock eyes, she's drawn in.

Captivated. Lured. Loved.

Dawson is keeping a secret that will change her existance... and put her life in jeopardy. But even he can't stop risking everything for one human girl. Or from a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself."

When I saw this book I thought it was the first book and not the 0.5. I read the summary and thought it would be cool to read another book with aliens beside the I Am Number 4 series.
Well, imagine my face when I read the summary for the real book 1 and find a new main character and the story is a year later.

Arcana Famiglia

Hi!

This weekend I started watching Arcana Famiglia.

When I saw this image I thought it was something like Bleach but not that cool, because Bleach is the coolest anime ever. So I think this I had some Bleach vibe but when I saw the first episode I understood how wrong I had been. The first scenes are pretty cool but then it is all about how these kids guard their island and become stronger with their Arcana powers in order to win some tournament that will allow the winner to marry Felicitá and become the next "person" who commands all the other kids and the important stuff on the island.

So far it is enjoyable to follow. Not my favourite anime but I'm a bit desperated and I need to see any tv show to occupy my time with. I must confess, though, that I'l only still watching this because I have hope that once the battle begin it will be fun and more interesting and captivating.

Vanishing On 7th Street (2010)

Hello!

During these last days I saw Vanishing On 7th Street.

I wanted to see this because I really loved Hayden Christensen in Jumper and was missing watching something with him.

This has terror, thriller and action vibes throughout the entire film which is cool because if you don't like terror movies this is torelable and enjoyable for you without lacking on that "adrenaline" that terror movies are famous for.

I liked it very much even though the end was... weird? disappointing? I don't know what it was but I sure wasn't expecting that. If you already watched tell me what you thought about it, I'd love to read it.

Now that I've seen it a few days ago I can clearly say it is just to say that if you have faith you'll get there where you want and need to be but still is a weird ending...

Here's the trailer.

The Cold Light Of Day (2012)

Heya!

I finally watched The Cold Light Of Day.

I wanted to watch this since I saw its trailer on Apple's website which is you are aware it was a long time ago. Now I've seen it and well, even if some people are saying that it was disappointing I can't agree 100%. I admit the trailer made it look a little different. Like it was going to feature more "action" and the storyline could be a little more complex, I guess. But either way it's a great action film.

A few months ago I wrote how I love The Cound Of Monte Cristo and if you saw the film adaptation I talked about you might rememer Henry Cavill as Albert. Look who is all grown up and has shoulders and is obviously cute?! haha

If you still need to be convinced, here's the trailer.

The Script & Will.I.Am - Hall Of Fame

Hey!

Are you still in the Olympic Games mood?
Even if the answer is negative I'm sure you'll enjoy as much the new song from The Script with Will.I.Am.

In my opinion is an incredibly inspiring song. Makes you believe you can win over everything that comes against you. A little different sound from the previous album but still pretty amazing. I can't wait to hear the rest.

The Body Shop - All In One

Hi!

A few weeks ago I wrote about how happy I was to try the new BB cream from The Body shop. Now I ramdomly found a quick video where we can it in action.

Are you excited to try it?

Hollywood Heights

Hello!

I have been so caught up in this series that it's all I see and do these days.

I know the action isn't great ant the storyline isn't stronger either but I just keep watching and watching. I'm still in the beginning but I'm enjoying this. Don't know why though.

One thing that really gets on my nerves is Eddie's too-nice act toward Chloe. What guy in this world having the life he has would still be going around her after everything? It's so unreal that can be annoying.

Some say this is terrible. Others say this is pretty good. I say it's captivating. Either way, here's the trailer.

Gossip Girl Season 6

Heya!

Since the beginning of the Summer when was confirmed that season 6 would be the last one for Gossip Girl, I admit I was sad. Because even though sometimes watching GG is annoying and boring I enjoyed seeing and will surely miss it. Some people were saying the last seons would only have 11 episodes which is even sadder.
But let's not talk about that right now. Happy thoughts. Here's the new trailer for season 6.

October 8?! Seriously?! I understand that's because it'll have less episodes than usual but... Ha...The wait is going to be tough...

Brave (2012)

Hey!

Last week or the week before, I can't remember, I watched Pixar's Brave.

First of all, the accent. I'm the type of girl that even though can't make a single one likes a good accent and the fact Pixar decided to make an entire film which the characters have scottish accent is just priceless.

When I saw the trailer on Apple's website I thought this was going to be about a girl who didn't want to follow the sterotype of the average older princess and become the queen but meanwhile being a total badass and enter a certain adventure between eveything, I don't know what I was expecting, but not her mother becoming a bear and the whole film is about Princess Merida understanding her mother and the opposite. I think I just wanted more bow-and-arrow action.

Despire eveything I just wrote it is a great animation film. Once again, Pixar surprise us with their quality.

In case you missed it, which I doutd, here's the trailer.

Wendy Heggins - Sweet Evil

Hi!

I have 9 books I've read during these last months that I haven't written about here and have 8 books waiting to be devoured by me.
Today I'm going to write about Sweet Evil by Wndy Heggins.

"Embrace the forbidden.

What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?

This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.

Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of the struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girls, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?"

I read this book last month, around 21st, during my I don't want to call it obsession because it wasn't but every book that caught my eyes was about demons.
And after reading Falling Under and Dreaming Awake I wasn't expecting being surprised by anything that could happen in this.

Green Day - Oh Love Videoclip

Hello!

Today Green Day released their new music video for Oh Love worldwide via Mtv. I didn't watch it there so I don't know how that went but on Youtube people aren't happy about it. At least, some aren't happy about it.

As a fan, I don't think this is the best song they've ever made. As I said before, it sure is catchy but I think they can do better because they've done much better in the past. Either way, people were saying this is disappoing because has nothing to do with the lyrics and is just plain commercial, I think they were expecting something more thoughtful or something meaningful, which was supported by previous videos and songs.
Well, I don't think it's good or bad is some rehearsal with naked women dancing around them. I wasn't expecting anything so for me this weren't bad news.

Did you like it?

ABC - Revenge

Heya!

Teen Wolf ended this week (and what a great ending!) so last week I started searching for a new obsession. I had to find a new tv show that could occupy my free time until the end of the month, before school starts again. I wanted something that would keep me anxious at every end of every episode. Something like Dexter without being too much... overwhelming. Something that wouldn't leave me suffocating until I died breathless.
Well, I did find something that so far has accomplished all my requests: Revenge.

I'm just on episode 10 or something around that but there's something in this that makes me keep watching until the end. I know the first season has ended for some time and next one is going to start September 30th.

This little trailer doesn't do it justice. Anyway, if you don't follow this, you should. It's pretty captivating.

Blake Lively - Gucci Ad

Hey!

It's been a while since the new commercial for Gucci's new perfume was released but still, here it is.

I watch Gossip Girl. I've watch it since it started and her style and beauty has evolving for better every day but I think in this ad she looks a bit strange. I think it's because she has so much makeup that makes her look artificial. I don't know.
Either way she looks amazing. Who wouldn't want her legs? They seem they go on forever...
And her voice is so husky in here.

Jessie J - Who You Are

I stare at my reflexion in the mirror
Why am I doing this to myself?
Losing my mind on a tiny error
I nearly left the real me on the shelf
No, no, no, no, no...

Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing
It's okay not be okay
Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart

Tears don't mean you're losing
Everybody's bruising
Just be true to who you are

Who you are, who you are, who you are
Who you are, who you are, who you are
Who you are, who you are, who you are
Who you are, who you are, who you are

Brushing my hair, do I look perfect?
I forgot what to do to fit the mold, yeah
The more I try the less it's working, yeah, yeah
'Cause everything inside me screams
No, no, no, no, no...

Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing
It's okay not be okay
Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart

But tears don't mean you're losing
Everybody's bruising
There's nothing wrong with who you are

Yes, no's, egos, fake shows like boom
Just go and leave me alone
Real talk, real life, good luck, good night
With a smile, that's my home...
That's my home

No, no, no,no, no...
Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart

Tears don't mean you're losing
Everybody's bruising
Just be true to who you are
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Just an inspiring song.
And once again she proves what an incredible voice she has.

I Did Not Keep Your Letters

I read them,
And then I threw them in the trash
But make no mistake, I read them.

I swallowed them whole.
I filled my eyes with every word,
I sewed them in patterns
Into my flesh of my body,
At night I wake to entertain the ghosts
Lounging in my bedroom
With impromptu recitations
Of your letters, of your thoughts,
Of the shape of you in words.

But I could not keep your letters.

I could not let them languish
In a dusty box, fermenting
Into poisons in the closet dark.
I could not let them lie in wait,
Like coiled paper vipers
Ready to strike the hand that strays
Too far and stirs the den.

Essence - Glowing In The Dark Topper

Hi!

I don't know about you, but I frequently visit the Essence's little club - Beauty Friends. Well, there we can see first-hand all the future products that are going to make us spend all our money.
There's a few items going away but I'm hoping the ones coming to be pretty good, so I'm not too sad.

So far, the only product I can say I'm defenetly going to buy is the Glowing In The Dark nail polish.

Yeah, who wants glowing fingers at night?!
Huhm... I do.

The nail polish costs only 1.89€, ha... what's not to like?

Beethoven - Symphony No.9

Hello!

Am I the only person that likes to listen to classical music mainly during the Summer?

Since I found the complete version of Beethoven's 9th symphony on Youtube, my life has gain another colour, as lame as it sounds, it's true.

I like everythin this in these 57:30 but my favourite part has to be the second movement. It's just priceless!

I could write how much this makes me calm and happy and excited at the same time but just listen and words won't be necessary.

Susan Ee - Angelfall

Heya!

If I said a few weeks ago that I had a pretty amount of books to write about, well, now I have even more.

I read Angelfall written by Susan Ee during the first week of July, I think.

"It's been six weeks since of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to ger her back.

Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.

Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.

Traveling through a dark twisted northern California, they hae only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels' stronghold in San Francisco whre she'll risk everything to rescue her sister and he'll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again."

This is the first book in the Penryn & The End Of Days series.
And I realized I do, really, like to read about angels. Those seem to be the most frequent type of books that catch my eye...

Step Up: Revolution

Hey!

Yesterday I saw the fourth film on the Step Up series: Step Up Revolution.

If you saw any of the 3 previous films you know that what this basically about: a group of young street dancers who want to prove themselves and leave a message. In all the fourth films I think they all want that with different ways and problems inbetween, sure, but same end result.

I'll be honest and say the third was pretty boring. I thought the storyline was lacking on something that the two previous films had. I don't know what it is, though. I just know that while watching I was more caught up  on the other 2. I just kept watcing tht third because Moose was still there.
Now, on th fourth I was s little excitant but gave it a try, anyway. Well, this is a bit better on the storyline sometimes but still there's something missing...

In conclusion: I liked it. Moose makes an apperance which is always funny. So, watch it, if you haven't yet. I can't I'll watch it as easily as I've watch the first two films but is a good sequel.

Here's the trailer:

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

Hi!

I didn't read all the books but they're so funny and easy to read that I'm sure I will eventually.

A few weeks ago they published the trailer for the third film wich is the fourth book in the series.
I think in the US the film has already hit the cinemas but where I live it isn't yet.

Sounds so much fun! Can't wait to see it.

I Swear This Time I Mean It

Recently I've been returning back to my basics musicaly speaking. I don't know if that even makes sense but it's true.
And I like it.
So today I'm going to write the lyrics to one of my all time favourite songs. It's pretty old but so good.

Oh, Florida, please be still tonight
Don't disturb this love of mine
Look how she's so serene, you've gotta help me out...
And count the stars to form the lines
And find the words we'll sing in time
I want to ker her dreaming
It's my one wish, I won't forget this

I'm outdated, overrated
Morning seems so far away

So I'll sing a melody
And hope to God she's listening
Sleeping softly while I sing
And I'll be your memories,
Your lullaby for all the times
Hoping that my voice could get it right

If luck is on my side tonight,
My clumsy tongue will make it right
And wrists that touch
It isn't much, but it's enough
To form imaginary lines
Forget your scars, we'll forget mine
The hours change so fast,
Oh God, please make this last...

'Cause I outdated, overrated
Morning seems so far away

So I'll sing a melody
And hope to God she's listening
Sleeping softly while I sing
And I'll be your memories,
Your lullaby for all the times
Hoping that my voice could get it right,
Could get it right...

You could crush me
Please, don't crush me
'Cause baby, I'm a dreamer for sure
And I won't let you down
I swear this time I mean it...

And I'll sing a melody
And hope to God she's listening
Sleeping softly while I sing
And I'll be your memories,
Your lullaby for all the times
Hoping that my voice could get it right...

Mia Rose - Pumped Up Kicks

Hello!

So Mia Rose posted one video on her Youtube channel. This time she covered Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People.

She sang with company just like she as used to lately but this time was with Salvador Seixas.

I'm not a fan of the song neither his voice. In my ears the poor boy can't sing. I have nothing against him but he sings like he's making a big effort. Seems too forced. Not natural. I can't explain. It's still "audible",  I guess.

Oh, and she added bloopers which is always somehow funny to watch.

Jane By Design Season Finale

Heya!

This week was the season finale of Jane By Design.

The season went flying. It seems like it just started yesterday or the week before but started in January, right? Whoa! That was fast.

So the episode was a good one.
But honestly I beginning to feel confused and a little irritated. Why doesn't Jane say the truth to Billy? I understand that would made the whole porpose of the tv show to end but it's starting to get on my nerves.

The very end of the episode was frustarting as everyne was expecting. I think Jane will get herself of the situation with an easy lie. Something like charity-service or something like. Some people were saying she might get fired. Well, I don't think so. That would end the main drama she has to go through everyday and as a tv show that's not something you would do, I guess...

In case you missed it, here's the little trailer.

So far, I don't if there are plans for a second season but I sure hope yes.
