Maggie Stiefvater - Linger

Hello!

This one was definitely less then 24h.

So after Shiver comes Linger.
100% complete.
I wrote yesterday that I thought this was more dramatic and then I said maybe no. Well, yes!
Linger has way more problems and emotions and feelings mixed up that I can say I ended it tired. More characters featuring the usual and more human-wolf and vise-versa situations. If Shiver has some breathtaking parts, Linger doesn't stand far in the back at all. Some parts are really sweet and romantic but when it comes to "real" parts well, hold on tight because if you're into the story you'll suffer as they do.

Starting Forever tonight. The last book in The Wolves Of Mercy Falls series. After all of so much events in the previously book I don't know what can be worst or better for Grace and Sam. When the reader reads the end of the second book it's obviously understandable what's going to happen or what's going Forever be about, but how?
I'm seriously obsessed with this books.

More Linger info here.

Maggie Stiefvater - Shiver

Heya!

I was wanting to read this book for quite sometime.

If I count all the hours I think would be a day I took to read it all but I had to sleep so it wasn't really 24h straight.
I have to say it was very surprising. I new it featured wolfs and I was kind of hesitating because of all the Twilight thing and stuff but nothing compares to that. Nothing.
One thing I really liked was Maggie approaches several sensitive topics with such a subtlety that the reader don't even notice how serious and important it is. Yeah, really liked.
It's easy to read, the vocabulary is simple. The characters are very well described and made me think I could be one of them or know one of them, like be friends or family.
Totally recommended.
If you want more info go here.

Now I'm reading the second - Linger. I'm not gonna tell anything about the storyline but I think so far this is a little more dramatic, I mean... You know what? actually at second thought I think it has the same level of drama, after all I'm in the beginning.

So excited about this series.

Captain America: The First Avenger

Hey!

Today's filme was Captain America.

With Chris Evens.
I was expecting something much much better. The best part is definitely the end. It's pretty cool.
It's a good movie but could be so much better. I seriously hope The Avengers to be something like... breathtaking. They have a great opportunity to make a film that marks the cinematic history forever.

So, after this Iron Man is still my favourite super hero. He's amazing.

Oh, and one thing that it's truly awesome is Stan Lee enters in every movie. That's something I think it's super funny and must be a lot of fun for him. If you didn't catch him go watch the movies again and pay attention, he's there. haha

The Infernal Devices: Clockwork Prince

Hi!

Made a pause of 1 day but finished the Clockwork Angel yesterday. I'd like to say that towards the end I started enjoying it more and Will's character changes a little or the reader understands him a bit more. Either way, in the end it gets better.
I still prefer the TMI series but this one is pretty amazing too, and that was surprising.
Now just waiting for the Clockwork Prince.

I'm anxious. The first ended in a critical part which turns the waiting even worse.
On December 6 it hits the bookshops so some months ahead. I have to found something to read until the first week of December to keep my mind occupied and less excited if that's possible.

I went looking for the trailer but didn't find it... :(

Playing My Songs Is The Way I Cope With Life

Hello!

A Day To Remeber's new album is pretty amazing, I must say there's several songs that stay in your head for the first time you hear them.

All I Want is defenetly one of my favourites.

Great power, great lyrics and great voice. More than enough for an amazing song.

Tell me what you think about them in the comments :)

Crazy Stupid Love

Heya!

I'm a huge Emma Stone fan. She's beautiful, seriously funny and talented, so when I heard about her new movie I was exected from the beginning to see it but when I watched the trailer... OMG!

Steve Carell? Ryan Gosling? Kevin Bacon? Hell no! Not gonna missed it!
Hit theaters on July 29.
I leave you the trailer, just for you to become as anxious as I am ;)

The Infernal Devices: The Clockwork Angel

Hi!

I said it many times I read all the books in The Mortal Instruments series and was going to start The Infernal Devices, well I did, yesterday.

So far so good, I'm something past the middle and I prefer the TMI, sorry but it's more... Jace turns it all more funnier and exciting, that's what I think. But one thing better than the TMI is it's all passed in London and not in New York nor Los Angeles like any other cliche. Even though I read the new series from Cassandra will be in LA and in the future as TID is passed in the past... Makes sence the future part but LA?! God, isn't there any other city to talk about?! You can think is jelousy but it's not. Is just everything happens there and I'm not saying for her to write a book about my city but to write about anyother city in this whole world.
But as long as it's fun and with good characters it's all right with me haha

Did you like TMI better? Tell me in the comments ;)

I'm Like A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me And You)

Last year's wishes
Are this years's apologies
Every last time I come home
I take my last chance
To burn a bridge or two
I only keep myself sick in the head
'Cause I know how the words get you

We're the new face of failure
Prettier and younger but not any better off...
Bulletproof and loneliness
At best, at best

Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you
Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you

Collect the bad habits
That you couldn't bare to keep
Out of the woods but I love
A tree I used to lay beneath
Kisses still there
From a sour bottle baby girl
With eyes the size of baby worlds

We're the new face of failure
Prettier and younger but not any better off
Bullet proof and loneliness
At best, at best...

Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you
Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you
Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you
Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you

The best way
To make it through
With hearts and wrists intact
Is to realize
Two out of three ain't bad...
Ain't bad...

Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you
Me and you... (honeymoon)
Sitting in a honeymoon
(In a honeymoon)
Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon (honeymoon)
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you
Me and you
Setting in a honeymoon (honeymoon)
If I woke up next to you
If I woke up next to you
Honeymoon...

Hello!

Another dream I have....

Miu Miu Bow Tote in black.
It's gorgeous.
I think it's a very versatile bag, can be very dressy and at the same time super casual.
Bad thing? The price. This precious costs 970€. It's available on Miu Miu's e-store.
Maybe one day I'll be able to buy one, who knows?

Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn't)

Heya!

So for the last few days I've been reading Ten Things We Did (And Probably Shouldn't) by Sarah Mlynowski.

Synopsis:

2 Girls + 3 guys + 1 house - parents = 10 things April and her friends did and they (definitely, maybe, probably) shouldn't have.

If given the opportunity, what sixteen-year old wouldn't jump at the chance to move in with a friend and live parent-free? Although maybe "opportunity" isn't the right word, since April had to tell her dad a tiny little untruth to make it happen. But she and her housemate Vi are totally responsible and able to take care of themselves.
In this hilarious and bittersweet tale, Sarah Mlynowski mines the heart and mind of a girl on her own for the first time. To get through the year, April will have to juggle a love triangle, learn to do her own laundry, accept that her carefully constructed world just might be falling apart... One thing-she-shouldn't-have-done at a time.

I thought this book was completely different. It covers several topics I wasn't expecting such depth - sexuality, parents problems, between others - but I think is needed in our society. Teens need to understand such things happen to everyone.

I wish it'd be more scene with Hudson, has seen Noah turned to be not so loyal and Hudson was always there for her.
It's a good book, I think it's worth the money and the time. It's easy to read, the vocabulary is simple and funny at some parts.
April sometimes is irresponsible in an extreme level but like it's said "bittersweet tale".

Monte Carlo

Hey!

I went to see Monte Carlo today.

With Leighton Meester, Selena Gomez and Katie Cassidy.
I wanted something funny or not "heavy", if you know what I mean, it's Summer I wanted something light and this movie was the only one I found with these characteristics.
May I say that in the end I was kind of jealous of them? They go to Paris, then to Monte Carlo there go to several amazing places without worrying about money and each one gets the guy, oh and all along Selena's character spends the entire film pretending to be someone else and don't get problems with that. Hey, which girl in this world doesn't want holidays like that?! I do!
In my opinion is a great movie for a Sunday afternoon with all your girl friends. It's funny and romantic.

Buried

Hi!

Buried. That was my film today.

With Ryan Reynolds
So, basically the film's about a truck driver of the american army who awakes in a wooden coffin on the middle of the desert somewhere in Iraq.

From the beginning I knew it was an intricate movie but... Ok, I am not afraid of die, well of curse I am we all are, but my biggest problem is being buried alive and this film is exactly about that. And as smart as I am I watched a film with one of my biggest fears at night, alone with all the lights off.
So, the movie is complex a bit and Ryan did... He's so great I can't even write it. Watch and see for yourself.
I don't want to give away much but the end is not so successful as you might think it is, but watch it anyway. It's so good!

Definitely worth every second of my time.

Seriously amazing!

Chapter 27

Heya!

Today I watched Chapter 27.

First of all I didn't know all the details about John Lennon's death that was why I decided to see this.
I had no idea Jared Leto would be Mark David Chapman and when he appeared I had serious doubts at first if was really him, ok moving on, he did a great, great job. Everybody knows it was and still is a difficult event to talk about and Jared... wow! No words.

Every time after I watch a film I go to Youtube and Wikipedia search about the actors, the producers and all that stuff and this movie was no exception. When I got to Youtube and saw an interview the real Mark gave in 2000 (I think) he said he "wanted John's fame" obviously in the comments people were seriously angry about that and offended him and... I understand this perfectly but... I mean, people die every day and don't get this attention after 30-31 years, oh yes I know it was John Lennon, but Mark's sentence was 20 years to life and his parole had been denied six times... God! I know he has problems, no doubt about that but... What I'm trying to say is I bet anything that if it wasn't John Lennon, Mark had left prison already.
People need to be less rancorous.

Tell me your opinion about this, that's something I really liked to know.

Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spikes Pumps

Hey!

I was looking around net-a-porter.com when I fell in love with these adorable Christian Louboutins.

I think they're new because I've only seen them today in the website, but that's not important right now.
Was definitely love at first sight. I was scrolling down the page when they popped to my eyes.
When you add Christian Louboutin with black leather and studs it equals my happiness! I think I have a edgy/rock 'n' roll style (at least I try to because I love) and these pumps would make a big statement in my wardrobe for sure.
The only and worst thing about them is the price. They cost 765€.
You can see more info here if you're interested.

We can dream, right?

Harry Potter And The Deadly Hallows Part 2 Review

Hi!

I wrote here yesterday about my problems at the cinema with the new Harry Potter movie, well today I made it.

I just got home and I haven't stopped crying. I don't know why I'm like this, maybe because it's the last or it's because the film is great and are several emotions going on all along.
If you could see me right now you'd say I'm a baby with some height problems. I can't control myself. God!

Deep breath. Ok. I stop.
So, that's it, right? The end?

Then again, it's not really the end.
We've got Pottermore, haven't we? I must say I'm pretty stocked for this.

I've Been All Over The World Looking For You

Hello!

This song is stuck in my head and doesn't want to go away, and honestly I don't mind a bit haha

Cobra Starship - You Make Me Feel

I could totally say it's the song of the Summer.
And Robbin and Zelda Williams feature in the music video, how cool is that?!

I think is that type of song you just want to forget about everything and dance.

One of my favourites right now ;)

Essence - 50's Girls Reloaded

Heya!

Essence showed already the new collection for Summer - 50's Girls Reloaded.

From duo eyeshadows, lipsticks, eyes-pencils, nail polishes and a special brush this collection guarantees that every girl can have a style just like the 50's.
I have to say that the 50's is my favourite style so I'm super excited about all of this but mostly about...

... the translucent loose powder. It provides your skin a matt effect and goes with any type of skin which is awesome!
I'm so gonna buy this!

Tell me your opinion about this collection in the comments ;)

xx

Photography Books

Hey!

I have 2 books in my "To Buy List" about photography that I'm really excited about:

The first has 50 men from the last 100 years who made a big impression with their style in the world, there are huge names inside, like Che Guevara, Fred Astaire, Johnny Depp among many others. (With that cover, it could be about a dog I'd buy it) NEED IT!

Tells all the deepest secrets about those famous pictures that everybody recognize.
I love the cover.

Definitely two must haves, right?

Hugo Boss - Just Different

Hi!

I told you too many times about that Summer Festival and that 30 Seconds To Mars were going to play there, well they played, was a lot of fun and in the end of the day of the festival we got Jared Leto's perfume samples.

I know it's suppose to be for men but i really like it! Deep down I know the fact Jared made the campaign made me like it even more but honestly I don't care. The perfume smells good, he's cute, so who cares?!
I'm thinking about buying it, but then I thought what if they stop making it when I use it all? Which make me think about buying two bottles one for use one for not use but then again this would cost me the double, so I don't know what to do... I know I'm super lame.

Tell me what you think I should do in the comments ;)

My Life As Liz

Hello!

I was never into reality shows but accidentally started My Life As Liz and really liked!

Some say she is totally fake and her life is/was nothing like it's showed but honestly I don't care, I take this and Jersey Shore as my guilty pleasure or something like that.
I like her (or her character) because she tries not be a another "clone", if you know what I mean. She tries not be the "the blonde, super tanned with perfect everything" she tries to be herself and even maybe it's just an act, I like this attitude.
I'm in the beginning of season 2 and I'm wondering if there's going to be a third season if you know please tell me in the comments ;)

So, do you believe it's nothing real or not?

Harry Potter And The Deadly Hallows Part 2

Heya!

Today, June 14th, is the premiere of Harry Potter And The Deadly Hallows Part 2.

I didn't went see because the tickets were absolutely sold out, so tomorrow I'll be there, seeing the last, the end of all.
I'm sad! Just thinking about it makes me cry.
In the news people are talking about the last movie all that stuff I just change the channel, I don't want to think about it, tomorrow I'll have time to worry.

"It's not really goodbye after all."

xx

Thor

Hey!

First of all, sorry for not posting the last few days, but last weekend was that Summer Festival (which was SUPER awesome, I got autographs!! AHHH!) I talked to you about and since then I've been kind of busy, sorry again.

So, continuing the list of films I saw Thor.

Was pretty cool! I was expecting something worse.
I'm not a Natalie Portman's fan and I think she did not justice to her character, sorry, but she needed a more fearless attitude and her voice is too "sweet".

In my opinion I think it's better than Green Lantern, it has more action scenes and that's what people expect in this kind of movies, right?
So, go watch it and tell me your opinion ;)

Fast Five

Hi!

Today I saw Fast 5 with Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson.

Totally yes, I only saw the first movie because Paul Walker was cute.
The seconds he was even more cute, but then he wasn't in the third though I've seen it.
The fourth he was cool not so cute but cool with his shorter hair and all that, although I didn't like this one, the storyline is almost like the first one, but ok.
Now, the fifth. I liked more than the last, obviously. But I'm completely terrible when the subject is cars, so that part (which is almost everything in this kind of films) is a little bit boring or not so interesting for me and I think this film is the one with less car scenes or talks and I see that like a bad thing it's like loosing its essence. But it's super fun and worth the ticket money and I truly believe in a sixth.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid II

Hello!

Today's film was the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid 2.

Just today, I know, lame.
I'm gonna be honest with you I haven't read all the books yet.
The film is super funny, I mean if you're the younger sister like me you'll get perfectly (or almost) the feeling the little kid has, older brothers can seriously be pretty tough, although they can be occasionally pretty amazing, it's a love-hate kind of relation.

I like these books because they're about real subjects maybe a little more funnier that in reality, yes, but real and that's cool.

Did you watch it?

xx

Tuesday 5 July 2011

Green Lantern

Heya!

Today I saw the Green Lantern.

Honestly I didn't have heard anything about this super hero until I saw the trailer, shame on me.
I really liked the movie but I don't know if I'd like to have to carry (not everywhere but it has to be near) a huge lantern to reload my ring which is what gives me super powers, what I mean is yes he's super cool but he can travel to space without any type of problems but I don't know if every little kid wants to have this kind of powers.

Well, the movie is pretty awesome and Ryan Reynolds is pretty awesome, too. Blake Lively is brunette in this movie just like the comic books and in some scenes she looks really cute with brown hair but in other scenes her hair is so bad. Maybe I'm just accustomed of seeing her blonde and it's just me.

Cars II

Hey!

Today I saw Cars 2.

So good!
I think I like the first one better but this is so great! My favourite part was when they go to Italy, you see Fiat's everywhere haha I'm a fan ;)
Pixar did such an amazing job, as usual, I know, it's not like they do a bad movie, yeah.

Go watch it, if you haven't obviously, and then tell me your opinion in the comments.

Hangover II

Hi!

Today I saw the Hangover 2.

I loved the first one. I laughed so hard with them all, they're funny it's impossible to not laugh out loud while watching the film.
The second, in my opinion, is less funnier although is pretty amusing, but it's what they say "the first will be always the first" loool

After watching this movie I don't know if I will ever traveling to Bangkok; thanks guys! I'm just kidding.
So, yeah, pretty good film, go watch it and laugh until your stomach hurts.

Harry Potter's End

Hello!

Sorry about what you're about to read, but I had to write this...

Basically I don't want Harry Potter to end. That's it I said it.
When I bought the last book, four years ago I think, I didn't felt too much sorrow like now. Obviously I almost cried when I finished it but.. I don't know... The movies were still going and I just didn't felt so, so bad like now.
I can't believe it's the end. After this there's nothing more. God, I'm seriously down, right now.
I guess I haven't wrote yet in my head that in few days it's over for good.
I'll miss it so much! I just hope I don't get a crying attack in the middle of the cinema, that'd be sad.
I just can't say out loud "it's over" write it I can but say it, no... I think I never will. Was such a big part of my life, how am I suppose to say goodbye?!

Magic 8 Ball

Heya!

I totally forget to write here what I bought two weeks ago, how rude of me.
So, I bought a Magic 8 Ball.

My package was anything like this one but I thought this was cute.
Like I said I bought two weeks ago and think I haven't seen all the responses it gives. Some answers are really funny when compared to the questions like "is it snowing?".
I was looking for one thing like this for quite a long time and I found it on the last shelf and was the last one, kind of lucky, right?!

xx
