The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011)

Hi!

I forgot to write here last year when I read the book but during the past week I saw the film adaptation.

Obviously the book is better. Without any question. But I think they did a pretty good version.

I did no think Daniel Craig could pull something this type of film off but he did it. I enjoy watching him as a journalist. But Rooney Mara. as the main character, is the star in this. While reading I actually amagines someone physically like her which is a positive aspect. Usually when you read a book you imagine one character in an specific way and when they tunr the book into a film the same character is totally different and that often is a deception.

I haven't read the rest of the tilogy but I'm sure I will eventually.

Here's the trailer.

Olympic Games London 2012

Hello!

I know it's been several days since the opening ceremony but I'm still asking: are you following the Olympic Games?

These are the mascots in case you don't know. I think they look weird but cute at the same time.

Last Friday was he opening ceremony that I'm sure thousands of people saw on tv or even live at the stadium. I must confess I was expecting something more... sports related but I loved the part when Daniel Craig met with The Queen and them both went sky diving.

I did no found any video with those images but I'm sure in a few weeks they will be everywhere. Until then, we have gifs.

Anne Greenwood Brown - Lies Beneath

Heya!

I'm late on my book reviews. According to my iPad I still have 5 books to write about here but today is Anne Greenwood Brown's Lies Beneath turn.

"Calder White in the cold, clear waters of Lake Superior, the only brother in a family of merpeople obsessed with killing Jason Hancock, the man they blame for their mother's death. To lure the aquaphobic Hancock onto the lake, the mermaids charge Calder with the task of seducing the man's daughter, seventeen-year-old Lily Hancock. "Get close to the daughter," they tell him, "and you'll get close to the family. Get close to the family, and you'll get close to the man. Get him in the water. We'll take care of the rest."

But Calder screws everything up by falling in love. Now he's in the unenviable position of trying to love the girl while simultaneously plotting her father's murder. Suffice it to say, his sisters aren't pleased with his effort, and Calder's running out of time (and excuses)."

This is the second book I've read about mermaids.Being the first Of Poseidon written by Anna Banks. Between the two is complicated for me to say which is the best because they're different.

Emma Stone's Best Moments

Hey!

I discovered on Youtube a video that someone did with some of Emma's best moments.
I have to confess that even though I watched all of those scenes I still laughed pretty hard. She's so amazing!

After this, I think I'm going to watch one of her films.

Hilary Duff - True

Hi!

Hilary Duff showed on her Twitter the cover for her third book: True.

I read the two previous books in the trilogy. Elixir and Devoted. And as I said on those posts I really enjoyed reading this series so far, at least. But I don't see my opinion change with the final book, though. I like this cover, I think is my favourite of all 3.

I already added the release date to my list on the right, which is April 16.
Next year... Why?

VersaEmerge - No Consequences

Hello!

I've never been "obsessed" with VersaEmerge. I consider myself "obsessed" with other bands like Fall Out Boy (for a years) and Paramore and all those music groups I write about here but I've had my phases where I listen to VersEmerge non-stop but that's it.
I knew they were working on a new album and a few days ago they published what I think is going to be the first single. The song is called No Consquences.

Even though this sounds a little different from Fixed At Zero I like it. I don't know if the whole album will have the same "vibe" but I think it's enjoyable and catchy as hell.

Ted (2012)

Heya!

When I saw the trailer a few months ago if not last year, I instantly thought it was going to be a fun film to watch.

My sure it's one of the most talked films of the year and there are thousands of blogs and websites already giving their opinion and critics but still. I'm talking about it.
I watched it this weekend with my brother and we laughed pretty much the entire time. It's nice to see Mark Walhberg not fighting with anyone or being a badass as usual. Here, he's just a normal citizen with a famous best friend who actually is a stuffed animal that talks and is kind of annoying but incredibly funny.
The film is super easy to watch and the storyline isn't complicated so you are caught up in it easily.

I bet there aren't few people that haven't seen this trailer, but here it is once again.

MasterChef USA

Hey!

One of my brothers pushed me into watching this. We both saw the Australia version so he insisted that we'd see this as well.

It's a family habbit to see on tv food related programs. We all are Jamie Oliver true admirers. Thus is normal for us to now see the evolution of those programs that include passionate cookers turn into an amazig chef.

Both of my brothers really enjoy watching Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares and all the other hundred shows Chef Ramsey has and that was a heavy reason for them to see this version of Masterchef. Well, so far so good. We're still at the begining but enjoying it.

Green Day - Oh Love

Hi!

I forgot to post the new Green Day song last week.

I don't know if it's the most original song they've ever made but it's sure catchy. The day after I listened to this I woke up singing it. That says something.

Wal Grace's Submarine Test, January 1967

Walt Grace, desperately hating his whole place,
Dreamed to discover a new space,
And buried himself alive,
Inside his basement, tongue on the side of his face meant,
He's working away on displacement,
And what it would take to survive.

'Cause when you're done with this world,
You know the next is up to you.
And his wife told his kids he was crazy,
And his friends said he's fail if he tried,
But with a will to work hard,
And a library card,
He took a homemade, fan-blade, one-man submarine ride.

That morning, the sea was mad and I mean it,
Waves as big as he'd seen it,
Deep in his dreams at home.
From dry land,
He rolled it over to wet sand,
Closed the hatch up with one hand,
And peddled off alone.

'Cause when you're done with this world,
You know the next is up to you.
And for once in his life it was quiet,
As he learned how to turn in the tide,
And the sky was a flare,
When he came up for air,
In his homemade, fan-blade, one-man submarine ride.

One evening,
When weeks had passed since his leaving,
The call she'd planned on receiving,
Finally made it home.
She accepted,
The news she'd never expected,
The operator connected,
A call from Tokyo.

'Cause when you're done with this world,
You know the next is up to you.
Now his friends,
Bring him up when they're drinking,
At the bar with his name on the side,
And they smile when they can,
As they speak of a man,
Who took a homemade, fan-blade, one-man submarine ride.

Lauren Oliver - Pandemomiun

Hello!

I said I would write a post on this book. Here I am. Last month I read Pandemonium written by Lauren Oliver.

"I'm pushing aside the memory of my nightmare,
pushing aside thoughts of Alex,
pushing aside thoughts of Hana and my old school,
push,
push,
push,
like Raven taught me to do.
The old life is dead.
But the old Lena is dead too.
I buried her.
I left her beyond a fence,
behind a wall of smoke and flame."

Pandemonium is the sequel to Delirium as you may know.
I had a strange relation towards this book. Love-hate kind of relation.

ABC Family - Baby Daddy

Hello!

It happens during those times when you have nothing to do. You start looking for news tv shows or films. Sometimes you even watch the ones you never thought you would because you're kind of desperate to entertain yourself.
Thus I started watching Baby Daddy today.

It's not one of those sitcoms that make you laugh the entire episode but there are a few moments that will make you free agood laugh.
You start the episode and when you caugh yourself you're at the end. It goes by easily and if I'm being honest, the main character isn't all that bad looking... I'm just saying.

This week the fourth episode is released so if you haven't watch it yet you can still catch up without having any trouble.

The Amzing Spider-Man (2012)

Heya!

Today I had the opportunity to see The Amazing Spider-Man. Finally.

When I heard about this and saw the first trailer I was so excited and happy and obviously anxious but then I discovered that he wouldn't have spider webs just like in the comic books and my opinion changed. I love Spider-Man. It's my favourite super-hero right beside Iron Man because Robert Downey Jr is the coolest person ever. Ok, so when I knew he wouldn't have natural spider webs I started to think it wasn't going to be as great as I had thought. But after that I remembered Emma Stone was going to be his girlfriend and as fan of hers as I am I wasn't going to pass this film.
Well, thank God I didn't.
So, so good! I enjoyed very much the previous trilogy but with the 3D effects and all that new tech they used on this, this one is a bit better.
I have no idea when they are making the sequel but for me it could be tomorrow. I know some rumors saying in 2014... Let's see.

Travel To The Place...

Travel to the place
Where mind set to peace,
No one can see,
Feel us free.

Travel to the place
Where we can breathe,
Fill our desire,
We wish; we aspire.

Travel to the place
Where we have silence,
Flower of fragrance,
And nature to admire.

Travel to he place
Were we can write,
Lines of rhyme,
At any time.

Travel to the place
Where we have enough space,
Work withou race,
No tension on face.

Travel to the place
Where we can dance,
Sing at glance,
Bit of time to romance.

 Travel to the place
Where we spread love,
Freedom to serve
And land to move.

Travel to the place
Where we can live,
Of joy and sprinkle its grace,
And do anything, anywhere.

Magic Mike (2012)

Hey!

After God knows how long, I went to my local cinema. To see what? Magic Mike.

I know some people will think that every girl wants to see this film just because there are a few guys almost every second half naked. Well, that's true. I probably am one of them. But If I'm being honest, I watched it because Alex Pettyfer was there. Oh, Alex Pettyfer and Matt Bomer, obviously, even though I like Alex a little bit better because he's british. Sorry, Matt :S

I enjoy watching this not just because they're all good looking but it's fun and was perfect to pass my late afternoon. But the end... The end was a disappointing. It feels like they just cut it in the middle. I think it left too many things open but since Channing Tantum said they are working on the sequel I guess it makes sense. I'm almost absolute sure I'm going to see it.

Clockwork Princess Cover

Hi!

I'm super late on writing about the cover if I'm talking in blogger-time but it's always better late than never.

People on tumblr were saying its the best cover yet. I like it but I don't know if it's the best... Either way I only have a viable opinion when I finish the book because I link the storyline to every detail on its cover.

Cassandra Clare showed us the last cover on the Infernal Devices series this week and that's awful. Terrible. The book comes out next March. That's almost a year... And the end of Clockwork Prince was so frustrating... I don't know about you but I'm team Jem, as I said before. I think this time the "other guy" should get the girl. He deserves her. I know Will loves her and all that but so does Jem.
I think I just have to wait these eight months and find out which one she choses.

Happy Song

Hello!

Today was on of those days that start not as you'd like to and end pretty great. I had a great evening for a change. And that brings a great feeling. When something good but unexpected happens in one's life is always exciting.

It's late and because I'm feeing happy right now I'm going to share this.

This song never fails and makes me want to dance and mainly feel happy. I hope it has the same effect on you. It's Summer we deserve at least some minutes to have fun, am I right?

White Collar Season 4

Heya!

When I remembered myself that White Collar would return this Tuesday I screamed. I love this tv show and the season finale was so frustrating! But now the wait is over and what a great come-back... So, so good! Better than what I was expecting.

Do I need to say anything else to convince you to watch this?

I don't know what this show has that makes me excited and anxious about each episode but I can't help it. It's so addictive.

Next Tuesday there's more and I'm sure I won't miss it. Here's the trailer I found on Youtube.

Daria Werbowy & Betty Boop - Lancome

Hey!

How many times have I said how much I love Daria Werbowy?
I've lost count as well.
Daria is the spokesperson for Lancome a for a few years now and she's once again in another of their commercials. This time for a new macara with Betty Boop. I have never been a fan of Betty but I did enjoy watching this little video.

Did you notice Daria's dress? Gorgeous.

Lauren Oliver - Delirium

Hi!
Last week I read Delirium written by Lauren Oliver.

"They didn't understand that once love - the deliria - blooms in your blood, the is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands all citizens receive the cure upon turning 18.
Lena Holoway has always looked forward to th day when she'll be cured.
A life without love is a life without pain: safe, mesured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: she falls in love."

This is the first book in the trilogy and being the beginner I think is a great novel.
Mainly because it gets you caught up it in without you noticing and when you do you're done with the the whole book.

United Colors Of Benetton iPad Case

Hello!

I don't know if I've ever wrote here but I have the third generation of the iPad in white. I think I bought it over a month ago. Since then I've been searching for a cute, light, not too expensive case for my baby. After a few days of tiring my eyes over several websites my mom asked me why didn't I buy the one from United Colors Of Benetton. Well, that was a great question but I did not know Benetton had one.

It's cute. Not heavy. And costs 14.99€ which I think is pretty cheap.
Mine is purple and I was lucky enough to get the last one.

Obviously I thanked my mom for suggesting this soft envelop. If you don't own an iPad you can still use it as a brief bag.

Lost

Heya!

When Lost started in 2004 I watched some episodes of the first season but that was it. I never was really into it. I think because I thought it was creppy to go throught something as dramatic and overwhelming as that.
But now that school is over I started watching from the first season. Every episode.

Here's the trailer to make you nolstagic.

I'll admit is weird to see Ian Somerhalder so young and almost blonde...

Either way I'm going to rewatch a watch this tv show.

The Body Shop - All In One BB Cream

Hey!

At least in Europe BB Creams are becoming more and more famous by day. Since Garnier which was the first here, all the other brands started to bombard us with one new miracle cream. I think it's a good thing, though. Because we can pick the one that suits our skin better and the prices start lower to very expensive so we have lots to chose.
As I said here before, I really like The Body Shop. For several reasons. It's not too pricey. You easily find a retailer and mainly because they do not test on animals and they try to go eco on their products as much as possible. Now they're having a BB Cream as well.

Vogue UK says:
You'll have to wait until August 16 for this one, but it will definitely become a favourite amongst those that like their beauty products with special features - it goes on as a white paste but adapts to the correct colour when it comes into contact with the skin. Clever. The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream; £12.
Exciting!
Are you going to try it?

Someday's Gone

What makes you think you so damn sure
That you're perfect, huh?
I can't explain you
Just like a nightmare
I can't remember
What makes you so damn sure
That you're worth, huh?
You're just a bad trip
I can't come back from since last December

I walk into the room and you steal everyone
I see you walk into the room
And you kill everyone 'cause I know

My someday's gone now
Bye, bye
My someday's gone now
Bye, bye
Just let it go

How did you figure that I let you cut me down
Right at the knees?
I fall like a dead man out of the airplane
How did you figure that I let you drag me around, huh?
You got my number, draw me a story, tell me a picture
I walk into the room and you've had everyone
And then you walked into the room, it's so sad everybody already knows

My someday's gone now
Bye, bye
My someday's gone now
Bye, bye
Just let it go

'Cause even when I live, a piece of me will die
Win some, lose some, she won't bat an eye
Maybe when I sleep,
I'll see you in my dreams
Forget about it one day
Damn, I see you walk into the room and you've fucked everyone
And then you walked into the room, well so what everybody already knows

My someday's gone now!
Bye, bye
My someday's gone now
Bye, bye
My someday's gone now
Bye, bye...

Let it go...
Let it go...
Let it go...
Let it go...

Fun & Hayley Willams

Hi!

Fun and Hayley Williams covered Gotye's Sombody That I Used To Know for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

Honestly, I'd love it much more if it was just Hayley singing, but this is what we've got and it's actually pretty good.

Colombiana (2012)

Hello!
I wanted to see Colombiana for a while and finally my brother asked me if I wanted to join him, obviously I said yes.

After watching this I think everybody agree's when I say Zoe Saldana is this total badass-hero-avenger kind of gal. Her character is so balanced. She has everything covered. From the begining she already and that's pretty impressive. I always like to watch an action film where the main character is a female, is quite rare to find a good one with that quality.

Anna Banks - Of Poseidon

Heya!

After reading so much about Of Poseidon written by Anna Banks I decided to give it a try.

"Galen is the prince of the Syrena, sent to land to find a girl he's heard can communicate with fish. Emma is on vacation at the beach. When she runs into Galen - literally, ouch! - both teens sense a connection. But it will take several encounters, including a deadly one with a shark, for Galen to be convinced of Emma's gifts. Now, if he can only convince Emma that she holds the key to his kingdom..."

This being the first book I've ever read about mermaids, I can say it was pretty interesting.
