One More Christmas

Heya!

First of all: MERRY CHRISTMAS or HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

(Harry Potter and Christmas? Nothing's better than that)

December is always a good month for me.
It's the last month of the first term in school, it's Christmas and adding the weather which is just perfectly cold. And obviously the blog anniversary. December 5th 2010 was my first post. Two years later and here I am. Still.

It's 2:27am and obviously my family and I have already opened our presents. So far, I'm pretty happy with what I've got. I'm probably writing about some of my presents during the next days just like last year. Thus keep an eye for it ;)

I'm sure everybody who logged on the internet today saw it but did you follow Santa around the world with Google Tracker?
I did. Right now he is in Rio de Janeiro.

Essence - Advent Calender: Winner

Hey!

So as you might know Essence is doing a funny thing until Christmas day, which is everyday they make a question and if you answer correctly you're able to win that day's prize. I was lucky enough to be one of the winners.
Honestly I had never won anything like this so I guess is fair to say Essence took my virginity in these kind of give aways.

Now to the prize:

From top to left to right:
  • My Skin: Refreshing Toner
  • My Skin: Cooling Eye Roll-On
  • My Skin: Soft Cleaning Gel
  • My Skin: Intensively Caring Cream
  • My Skin: Tinted Moisturizer for light skin
As you can understand easily all the products belong to the My Skin line. I haven't tried any of these goodies so I'm soo excited to try now that I've time without school and all that stuff.

If you're curious about any of the products check this brochure. I'm sure it'll help you.

Thus I'll be writing my opinion on each one during the next days.
For now, I'm just thanking Essence for doing these give aways and picking me as a winner ;)

Hugo Boss - Hugo Red

Hi!

It's almost Christmas and this could be the perfect present if it were available now.

This is the only time where red means go and thank god it does.
One year later Jared Leto is the face of another Hugo Boss perfume. Let's not forget Hugo Man and Hugo Different.
If you follow me for some time you know I bought Hugo Different as a Christmas present for my dad but I kind of stole it for my vanity and my dad sometimes sprays it on himself. And my older brother, too. As I said a year ago, I know it's supposed to be for men but I really, deeply like the smell. It's not too strong. Now imagine my face when my friend retweeted this poster. Yes, automatic fangirling.

I've discovered that the bottle has some cool features but I'm leaving that for when they release the ad. If the perfume will be available around January I think - and hope - that we are going to see the commercial next month.

Who's excited??
I sure am!

Mia Rose - Broken Hearted

Hello!

I'm doing everything wrong and posting another music themed post when my last one is still fresh. I'm sorry about that but Mia Rose posted now a new cover and as usual I'm spreading her vibe.

This time she covered Karmin's Broken Hearted. It's funny to see her rapping for the first time. After all these years and she hadn't rapped for us...

Jennifer L. Armentrout - Opal

Heya!

Even though I usually write 8 posts between book-reviews this time I decided to break that rule, because the third book on the Luxen series - Opal - written by Jennifer L. Armentrout is so, so painful to think about that I honestly don't know how I'm going to survive until July.

"No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn't fooling around. Doubting him isn't something I'll do again, and now that we've made it through the rough patches, well... There's a lof of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can't protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I'm no longer the same Katy. I'm different... And I'm not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I'm capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won't turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever."

As you can still see by my list on the right this book was supposed to be released today but I don't know why it was just available soon and I'm not complaining at all.

The Last Time

I found myself at your door,
Just like all those times before,
I'm not sure how I got there,
All roads they lead me here.

I imagine you are home,
In your room all alone,
And you open your eyes into mine,
And everything feels better.

And right before your eyes,
I'm breaking, no past
No reasons why,
Just you and me...

This is the last time I'm asking you this,
Put my name at the top of your list,
This is the last time I'm asking you why,
You break my heard in the blink of an eye, eye, eye.

You found yourself at my door,
Just like all those times before,
You wear your best apology,
But I was there to watch you leave.

And all the times I let you in,
Just for you to go again,
Disappear when you come back,
Everything is better.

And right before your eyes,
I'm aching, run fast,
Nowhere to hide,
Just you and me...

This is the last time I'm asking you this,
Put my name at the top of your list,
This is the last time I'm asking you why,
You break my heard in the blink of an eye, eye, eye...

This is the last time you tell me I've got it wrong,
This is the last time I say it's been you all along,
This is the last time I let you in my door,
This is the last time, I won't hurt you anymore.

Oh, oh, oh...

This is the last time I'm asking you this,
Put my name at the top of my list,
This is the last time I'm asking you why,
You break my heard in the blink of an eye.

This is the last time I'm asking you this
(This is the last time I'm asking you this)
Put my name at the top of your list
(Put my name at the top of your list)
This is the last time I' asking you why
(This is the last time I'm asking you)
You break my heart in a blink of an eye
(You break my heart...)

This is the last time I'm asking you,
Last time I'm asking you,
Last time I'm asking you this...

This is the last time I'm asking you,
Last time I'm asking you,
Last time I'm asking you this...

This is the last time I'm asking you,
Last time I'm asking you,
Last time I'm asking you this...

This is the last time I'm asking you,
Last time I'm asking you,
Last time I'm asking you this...

Collin McLoughlin - Titanium

Hey!

How many times have you listened to David Guetta and Sia's Titanium? Even if you don't like this kind of music I'm sure when when you turned on the radio you caught some time.
Well, I found a cover of that song that made me really enjoy it in a completely different way. The lyrics are pretty good, actually. I noticed that just now because this version makes you to listen carefully.

Even though Collin didn't go further on The Voice US I'm taking a minute to clap my hands.

Beautiful Words

Hi!

I found this on Tumblr, therefore I have no idea who wrote this but god these are some beautiful words.

Date a girl who writes.
Date a girl who may never wear completely clean clothes, because of coffee stains and ink spills. She’ll have many problems with her closet space, and her laptop is never boring because there are so many words, so many worlds that she’s cluttered amidst the space. Tabs open filled with obscure and popular music. Interesting factoids about Catherine the Great, and the immortality of jellyfish. Laugh it off when she tells you that she forgot to clean her room, that her clothes are lost among the binders so it’ll take her longer to get ready, that her shoes hidden under the mountain of broken Bic pens and the refurbished laptop that she’s saved for ever since she was twelve.
Kiss her under the lamppost, when it’s raining. Tell her your definition of love.
Find a girl who writes. You’ll know that she has a sense of humor, a sense of empathy and kindness, and that she will dream up worlds, universes for you. She’s the one with the faintest of shadows underneath her eyelids, the one who smells of coffee and Coca-cola and jasmine green tea. You see that girl hunched over a notebook. That’s the writer. With her fingers occasionally smudged with charcoal, with ink that will travel onto your hands when you interlock your fingers with her’s. She will never stop, churning out adventures, of traitors and heroes. Darkness and light. Fear and love. That’s the writer. She can never resist filling a blank page with words, whatever the color of the page is.
She’s the girl reading while waiting for her coffee and tea. She’s the quiet girl with her music turned up loud (or impossibly quiet), separating the two of you by an ocean of crescendos and decrescendos as she’s thinking of the perfect words. If you take a peek at her cup, the tea or coffee’s already cold. She’s already forgotten it.
Use a pick-up line with her if she doesn’t look to busy.
If she raises her head, offer to buy her another cup of coffee. Or of tea. She’ll repay you with stories. If she closes her laptop, give her your critique of Tolstoy, and your best theories of Hannibal and the Crossing. Tell her your characters, your dreams, and ask if she gotten through her first novel.
It is hard to date a girl who writes. But be patient with her. Give her books for her birthday, pretty notebooks for Christmas and for anniversaries, moleskins and bookmarks and many, many books. Give her the gift of words, for writers are talkative people, and they are verbose in their thanks. Let her know that you’re behind her every step of the way, for the lines between fiction and reality are fluid.
She’ll give you a chance.
Don’t lie to her. She’ll understand the syntax behind your words. She’ll be disappointed by your lies, but a girl who writes will understand. She’ll understand that sometimes even the greatest heroes fail, and that happy endings take time, both in fiction and reality. She’s realistic. A girl who writes isn’t impatient; she will understand your flaws. She will cherish them, because a girl who writes will understand plot. She’ll understand that endings happen for better or for worst.
A girl who writes will not expect perfection from you. Her narratives are rich, her characters are multifaceted because of interesting flaws. She’ll understand that a good book does not have perfect characters; villains and tragic flaws are the salt of books. She’ll understand trouble, because it spices up her story. No author wants an invincible hero; the girl who writes will understand that you are only human.
Be her compatriot, be her darling, her love, her dream, her world.
If you find a girl who writes, keep her close. If you find her at two AM, typing furiously, the neon gaze of the light illuminating her furrowed forehead, place a blanket gently on her so that she does not catch a chill. Make her a pot of tea, and sit with her. You may lose her to her world for a few moments, but she will come back to you, brimming with treasure. You will believe in her every single time, the two of you illuminated only by the computer screen, but invincible in the darkness.
She is your Shahrazad. When you are afraid of the dark, she will guide you, her words turning into lanterns, turning into lights and stars and candles that will guide you through your darkest times. She’ll be the one to save you.
She’ll whisk you away on a hot air balloon, and you will be smitten with her. She’s mischievous, frisky, yet she’s quiet and when she has to kill off a lovely character, when she cries, hold her and tell her that it will be alright.
You will propose to her. Maybe on a boat in the ocean, maybe in a little cottage in the Appalachian Mountains. Maybe in New York City. Maybe Chicago. Baltimore. Maybe outside her publisher’s office. Because she’s radiant, wherever she goes. Maybe even outside of a cinema where the two of you kiss in the rain. She’ll say that it is overused and clichéd, but the glint in her eyes will tell you that she appreciates it all the same.
You will smile hard as she talks a mile a second, and your heart will skip a beat when she holds your hand and she will write stories of your lives together. She’ll hold you close and whisper secrets into your ears. She’s lovely, remember that. She’s self made and she’s brilliant. Her names for the children might be terrible, but you’ll be okay with that. A girl who writes will tell your children fantastical stories.
Because that is the best part about a girl who writes. She has imagination and she has courage, and it will be enough. She’ll save you in the oceans of her dreams, and she’ll be your catharsis and your 11:11. She’ll be your firebird and she’ll be your knight, and she’ll become your world, in the curve of her smile, in the hazel of her eye the half-dimple on her face, the words that are pouring out of her, a torrent, a wave, a crescendo - so many sensations that you will be left breathless by a girl who writes.
Maybe she’s not the best at grammar, but that is okay.
Date a girl who writes because you deserve it. She’s witty, she’s empathetic, enigmatic at times and she’s lovely. She’s got the most colorful life. She may be living in NYC or she may be living in a small cottage. Date a girl who writes because a girl who writes reads.
A girl who writes will understand reality. She’ll be infuriating at times, and maybe sometimes you will hate her. Sometimes she will hate you too. But a girl who writes understands human nature, and she will understand that you are weak. She will not leave on the Midnight Train the first moment that things go sour. She will understand that real life isn’t like a story, because while she works in stories, she lives in reality.
Date a girl who writes.
Because there is nothing better then a girl who writes.

Jennifer L. Armentrout - Onyx

Hello!

Here I am again to write about the third book if you count Shadows on the Luxen series written by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

"Being connected to Daemon sucks...
Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon's determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I've sworn him off, even though he's running more hot than cold these days. But we've got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town...

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do an that we're linked, I'm a goners. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who's got a secret of his own. He knows what's happened to me he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes...

I've seen someone who shouldn't be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he's never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them-from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies..."

I already wrote about Shadows and Obsidian making this the third book I've read on the Luxen series.

Jessie J - We Found Love

Heya!

I've said that Jessie J is one of the best singers out there at the moment. She sings... I lose all my adjectives because she does it perfectly.
Now I discovered her Rihanna's We Found Love cover. I have to say I'm not a Rihanna fan and don't even like this song but god Jessie kills it.

I honestly can't wait for her new record.

Six Degrees Of Separation

You've read the books, you've watched the shows
What's the best way, no one knows, yeah
Meditade, get, hypnotized
Anything to take it from your mind
But it won't, go
You're doing all these things out of desperation, oh woah
You're going through six degrees of separation

You hit the drink, you take a toke
Watch the past go up in smoke
You fake a smile, you lie and say
You're better now that ever and your life's ok, when it's not... no
You're doing all these things out of desesperation, oh woah
You're going through six degrees of separation

First, you think the worst is a broken heart
What's gonna kill you is the second part
And the third, is when your world splits down the middle
And fourth, you're gonna think that you've fixed yourself
Fifth, you see them out with someone else
And the sixth, is when you admit that you may have fucked up a little

No, no there ain't no help, it's every men for himself
No, no there ain't help, it's every men for himself

You tell your friends, yeah, strangers too
Anyone who'll throw an arm around you
Tarrot cards, gems and stones
Believing all that shit's gonna heal your soul
Well, it's not... no
You're only doing things out of desperation
Oh, no
You're going through six degrees of separation

First, you think the worst is a broken heart
What's gonna kill you is the second part
And the third, is when your world splits down the middle
And fourth, you're gonna think that you've fixed yourself
Fifth, you see them out with someone else
And the sixth, is when you admit that you may have fucked up a little

Oh no, there's no starting over
Without finding closure
You take them back no hesitation
That's when you know you're reached the six degree of separation

Oh no, there's no starting over
Without finding closure
You take them back no hesitation
That's when you know you're reached the six degree of separation

Oh, first, you think the worst is a broken heart
What's gonna kill you is the second part
And the third, is when your world splits down the middle
And fourth, you're gonna think that you've fixed yourself
Fifth, you see them out with someone else
And the sixth, is when you admit that you may have fucked up a little

No, no there ain't no help, it's every men for himself
You're going through six degrees of separation
No, no there ain't no help, it's every men for himself
You're going through six degrees of separation
No, no there ain't no help, it's every men for himself
No, no there ain't no help, it's every men for himself

The Mortal Instrruments: City Of Bones Trailer

Hey!

I've writen so many times how much I love Jace from Cassadra Clare's The Mortal Instruments that I've lost count. So imagine my entusiasm when they released the trailer for the film.

I'm still not 100% percent sure that Jamie Campbell is the best choice for Jace but either way I'm going to watch it.

Love Is Like Rain

Love is like rain
Something sensitive
Something you can't get rid of
Love is fragile
Something you can't take advantage of
Love is like the rain
Love is beautiful
Love has its ups and downs
It's also like a picture with a thousand words
Love is also a strong word
Love may drip away but may always come back
While I lay here with the dripping of the rain on my face
I'm thinking to myself will I ever find love?

Cassadee Pope On The Voice USA

Hi!

This isn't news but I still can't believe Cassadee Pope who is or was the lead singer of Hey Monday is currently on The Voice USA on Blake's team.

I sure was a big fan of the band. Hey Monday were the soundtrack of my life for a few months maybe even years and when they stoped making music together I admit I was a little sad. Then she started making music alone and I was fine with it, she has an amazing voice and knows how to write beautiful lyrics but now she's on a tv program...
Life can take some weird turns.

Because I don't live in the States I can't follow her through the battles and all the steps she has to go to win but on Youtube they published some of her Blind Audition.

I didn't doubted for a second that all four coaches wouldn't turn. I already knew she would make it without the need of her opening her mouth. I bet this was pretty easy for her to sing despite everything.

Emily Owens M.D.

Hello!

I started watching Emily Owens M.D.

This new series started 2 weeks ago I think, and there are only 2 episodes but I'm already hooked.

When I saw the first trailer I thought it was going to be boring and not really my think but I ended up watching the pilot and well... So far so good.
I wasn't expedcting liking it so much. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it, watch at least 15 minutes straight and then you can decided if you're going to follow or not.

I think this is my new obsession.

Iron Man 3

Heya!

As I said here many times, Iron Man is doubtless one of the best super heroes ever. When I say this I mean the books and most recently the films with the amazing Robert Downey Jr.
Well, this week was released the trailer for the third film.

I'm just going to cross my fingers until April and pray that this doesn't suck.
If I'm thinking straight it won't. Because Robert Downey Jr. is still playing hard-core the main character.

Either way, you can bet I'm going to see this.

Mia Rose - Try

Hey!

The lovely Mia Rose posted recently on her Youtube channel this cover of Pink's Try.

Her video was the first time I heard this song. I'm not a big Pink fan so there's that. Now I've already listened the original but I can't stop listening to Mia's version. And I really like the lyrics.

Jennifer L. Armentrout - Obsidian

Hi!

After sometime without touching blogger, I'm back. Writing about the first book on the Lux series - Obsidian - written by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

"When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened hos mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpecting happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Damon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is."

A few weeks ago, I wrote my opinion on the prequel. The book is called Shadows and is kind of an supplement to Obsidian. Shadows is the 0.5 in the series and is about the story of Daemon's brother Dawson and his girlfriend Bethany which if you've read Obsidian know it's an important subject on its storyline.

Max Irons For Vanity Fair

Hello!

I discovered this video last year but somehow I ended up re-watching it today on Youtube and decided to share it here.

This can be called a shor film, I guess. At least, I call it that. Max Irons looks pretty good here. How can one person say otherwise?

A Late Walk

When I go up through the mowing field
The headless aftermath,
Smooth-laid like thatch with the heavy dew,
Half closes the garden path.

And when I come to the garden ground,
The whir of sober birds
Up from the tangle of withered weeds
Is sadder than any words

A tree beside the wall stands bare,
But a leaf that lingered brown,
Disturbed, I doubt not, by my thought,
Comes softly rattling down.

I end not far from my going forth
By picking the faded blue
Of the last remaining aster flower
To carry again to you.

Green Day - Kill The DJ

Hey!

I know this was released last week but here it is: the new Green Day videoclip for Kill The DJ.

This is not from Nimrod or American Idiot which for me are the best albums they've made but I can imagine myself listen to this on my way to school. Even though that doesn't mean anything because in the morning I'm pratically high because I'm not a morning person so I'll listen to anything "audible".

I just hope the rest of the album isn't similar but even if it is well, I'll listen all the same.

Blue Lagoon: The Awakening (2012)

Hi!

Since I was on some australian vibe, I decided to see Blue Lagoon: The Awakening.

Ok, I admit, I watched this because Brenton Thwaites was the main male character because I've watched the first one from 1980 and honestly I must be the only girl that doesn't love that film. I just can't understand how some teenagers being stuck on an island and trying to survive at the same time they're falling in love and discovering sexuality and all that can be super "adorable". I get that they can be cute because they're just kids living alone and swiming with turtles but... I don't know...
Anyway, this version is an update from the second version which is from 1991, making this one the third version of the same subject.
Well, I didn't see the one from 1991 so I can't talk about that but the first and this are totally diferent. First thing I noticed when it ended was that she did not get pregnant which I think is normal because today we girls have more information and can somehow "control" that from happening. I could make a list with all the differences but both are so opposed to one another that I'd stay here writing the rest of the week. Either way if you liked the others you'll probably like this one, too.

Here's the trailer:

Fox8: Slide

Hello!

After almost a year of its premiere in Australia, I watched every episode of Slide.

Honestly I have no idea how I found about this but I'm so, so glad I did. Because this is a different version of Skins but as someone said somewhere this is a little more realistic than Skins well, I understand what this person is trying to say and this is a little lighter on emotions speaking.
So this has only one season of 10 episodes and doesn't seem like there's going to be a second. Unfurtunately!! I would watch 10 seasons. Mainly because there's this cute guy there... You may have noticed...

Here's the trailer:

Is just me or this is one of the coolest trailers ever?

Silver Moon

I followed you all the way down to the ground
We floated (we floated)
Just like leaves
I had to ler go as we broke the clouds
Don't look back (don't look back)
You told me

Part of me's still waiting for that silver moon
To pull on this ocean that I'm floating through
Ride in the winds and braid in the stars
Falling right back where you are
Oh, Lord, I'm falling hard

I've seen treasures and disasters
I've known pain
I've seen cracks in dried up riverbeds and the rainf fill them all in
I turn my head up toward the gods and prayed
Found comfort in the night from the memories of your face

Ooooh...

Part of me's still waiting for that silver moon
To pull on this ocean that I'm floating through
I'm Riding the winds and I'm reading in the stars
Oh, Lord, I'm falling hard...

I close my eyes
Oh, Lord, I'm falling
I just can't fight this heart that beats in me
Oh, Lord, I'm falling
Oh...

Part of me's still waiting for that silver moon
To pull on this ocean that I'm floating, I'm floating
Ride in the winds and braid in the stars
Falling right back where you are
Oh, Lord, I'm falling...
Oh, Lord, I'm falling... hard

What To Expect When You're Expecting (2012)

Heya!

Today I saw What To Expect When You're Expecting.

I have to confess something shameful: I only to see this film because of Chace Crawford. Yup, that's right.
But in the end the film is kind of funny and is easy to watch.

Basically this is about a few women who get pregnat at the same time and the whole film is about how each one of them reacts to it. Meanwhile there's the husbands point of view wich is pretty fun.

Here's the trailer:

Jennifer L. Armentrout - Shadows

Hey!

Even though I'm taking a break from reading I still have 8 books to review or talk about here.
Here's one: Shadows written by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

"The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. As a Luxen, an alien life form on Earth, human girls are... well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane.

Dangerous. Tempting. Undeniable.

Bethany can't deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren't a complication she wants, she can't stay away from him. Still, whenever they lock eyes, she's drawn in.

Captivated. Lured. Loved.

Dawson is keeping a secret that will change her existance... and put her life in jeopardy. But even he can't stop risking everything for one human girl. Or from a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself."

When I saw this book I thought it was the first book and not the 0.5. I read the summary and thought it would be cool to read another book with aliens beside the I Am Number 4 series.
Well, imagine my face when I read the summary for the real book 1 and find a new main character and the story is a year later.

Arcana Famiglia

Hi!

This weekend I started watching Arcana Famiglia.

When I saw this image I thought it was something like Bleach but not that cool, because Bleach is the coolest anime ever. So I think this I had some Bleach vibe but when I saw the first episode I understood how wrong I had been. The first scenes are pretty cool but then it is all about how these kids guard their island and become stronger with their Arcana powers in order to win some tournament that will allow the winner to marry Felicitá and become the next "person" who commands all the other kids and the important stuff on the island.

So far it is enjoyable to follow. Not my favourite anime but I'm a bit desperated and I need to see any tv show to occupy my time with. I must confess, though, that I'l only still watching this because I have hope that once the battle begin it will be fun and more interesting and captivating.

Vanishing On 7th Street (2010)

Hello!

During these last days I saw Vanishing On 7th Street.

I wanted to see this because I really loved Hayden Christensen in Jumper and was missing watching something with him.

This has terror, thriller and action vibes throughout the entire film which is cool because if you don't like terror movies this is torelable and enjoyable for you without lacking on that "adrenaline" that terror movies are famous for.

I liked it very much even though the end was... weird? disappointing? I don't know what it was but I sure wasn't expecting that. If you already watched tell me what you thought about it, I'd love to read it.

Now that I've seen it a few days ago I can clearly say it is just to say that if you have faith you'll get there where you want and need to be but still is a weird ending...

Here's the trailer.

The Cold Light Of Day (2012)

Heya!

I finally watched The Cold Light Of Day.

I wanted to watch this since I saw its trailer on Apple's website which is you are aware it was a long time ago. Now I've seen it and well, even if some people are saying that it was disappointing I can't agree 100%. I admit the trailer made it look a little different. Like it was going to feature more "action" and the storyline could be a little more complex, I guess. But either way it's a great action film.

A few months ago I wrote how I love The Cound Of Monte Cristo and if you saw the film adaptation I talked about you might rememer Henry Cavill as Albert. Look who is all grown up and has shoulders and is obviously cute?! haha

If you still need to be convinced, here's the trailer.

The Script & Will.I.Am - Hall Of Fame

Hey!

Are you still in the Olympic Games mood?
Even if the answer is negative I'm sure you'll enjoy as much the new song from The Script with Will.I.Am.

In my opinion is an incredibly inspiring song. Makes you believe you can win over everything that comes against you. A little different sound from the previous album but still pretty amazing. I can't wait to hear the rest.

The Body Shop - All In One

Hi!

A few weeks ago I wrote about how happy I was to try the new BB cream from The Body shop. Now I ramdomly found a quick video where we can it in action.

Are you excited to try it?

Hollywood Heights

Hello!

I have been so caught up in this series that it's all I see and do these days.

I know the action isn't great ant the storyline isn't stronger either but I just keep watching and watching. I'm still in the beginning but I'm enjoying this. Don't know why though.

One thing that really gets on my nerves is Eddie's too-nice act toward Chloe. What guy in this world having the life he has would still be going around her after everything? It's so unreal that can be annoying.

Some say this is terrible. Others say this is pretty good. I say it's captivating. Either way, here's the trailer.

Gossip Girl Season 6

Heya!

Since the beginning of the Summer when was confirmed that season 6 would be the last one for Gossip Girl, I admit I was sad. Because even though sometimes watching GG is annoying and boring I enjoyed seeing and will surely miss it. Some people were saying the last seons would only have 11 episodes which is even sadder.
But let's not talk about that right now. Happy thoughts. Here's the new trailer for season 6.

October 8?! Seriously?! I understand that's because it'll have less episodes than usual but... Ha...The wait is going to be tough...

Brave (2012)

Hey!

Last week or the week before, I can't remember, I watched Pixar's Brave.

First of all, the accent. I'm the type of girl that even though can't make a single one likes a good accent and the fact Pixar decided to make an entire film which the characters have scottish accent is just priceless.

When I saw the trailer on Apple's website I thought this was going to be about a girl who didn't want to follow the sterotype of the average older princess and become the queen but meanwhile being a total badass and enter a certain adventure between eveything, I don't know what I was expecting, but not her mother becoming a bear and the whole film is about Princess Merida understanding her mother and the opposite. I think I just wanted more bow-and-arrow action.

Despire eveything I just wrote it is a great animation film. Once again, Pixar surprise us with their quality.

In case you missed it, which I doutd, here's the trailer.

Wendy Heggins - Sweet Evil

Hi!

I have 9 books I've read during these last months that I haven't written about here and have 8 books waiting to be devoured by me.
Today I'm going to write about Sweet Evil by Wndy Heggins.

"Embrace the forbidden.

What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?

This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.

Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She's aware of the struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girls, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn't until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He's the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.

Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?"

I read this book last month, around 21st, during my I don't want to call it obsession because it wasn't but every book that caught my eyes was about demons.
And after reading Falling Under and Dreaming Awake I wasn't expecting being surprised by anything that could happen in this.

Green Day - Oh Love Videoclip

Hello!

Today Green Day released their new music video for Oh Love worldwide via Mtv. I didn't watch it there so I don't know how that went but on Youtube people aren't happy about it. At least, some aren't happy about it.

As a fan, I don't think this is the best song they've ever made. As I said before, it sure is catchy but I think they can do better because they've done much better in the past. Either way, people were saying this is disappoing because has nothing to do with the lyrics and is just plain commercial, I think they were expecting something more thoughtful or something meaningful, which was supported by previous videos and songs.
Well, I don't think it's good or bad is some rehearsal with naked women dancing around them. I wasn't expecting anything so for me this weren't bad news.

Did you like it?

ABC - Revenge

Heya!

Teen Wolf ended this week (and what a great ending!) so last week I started searching for a new obsession. I had to find a new tv show that could occupy my free time until the end of the month, before school starts again. I wanted something that would keep me anxious at every end of every episode. Something like Dexter without being too much... overwhelming. Something that wouldn't leave me suffocating until I died breathless.
Well, I did find something that so far has accomplished all my requests: Revenge.

I'm just on episode 10 or something around that but there's something in this that makes me keep watching until the end. I know the first season has ended for some time and next one is going to start September 30th.

This little trailer doesn't do it justice. Anyway, if you don't follow this, you should. It's pretty captivating.

Blake Lively - Gucci Ad

Hey!

It's been a while since the new commercial for Gucci's new perfume was released but still, here it is.

I watch Gossip Girl. I've watch it since it started and her style and beauty has evolving for better every day but I think in this ad she looks a bit strange. I think it's because she has so much makeup that makes her look artificial. I don't know.
Either way she looks amazing. Who wouldn't want her legs? They seem they go on forever...
And her voice is so husky in here.

Jessie J - Who You Are

I stare at my reflexion in the mirror
Why am I doing this to myself?
Losing my mind on a tiny error
I nearly left the real me on the shelf
No, no, no, no, no...

Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing
It's okay not be okay
Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart

Tears don't mean you're losing
Everybody's bruising
Just be true to who you are

Who you are, who you are, who you are
Who you are, who you are, who you are
Who you are, who you are, who you are
Who you are, who you are, who you are

Brushing my hair, do I look perfect?
I forgot what to do to fit the mold, yeah
The more I try the less it's working, yeah, yeah
'Cause everything inside me screams
No, no, no, no, no...

Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing
It's okay not be okay
Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart

But tears don't mean you're losing
Everybody's bruising
There's nothing wrong with who you are

Yes, no's, egos, fake shows like boom
Just go and leave me alone
Real talk, real life, good luck, good night
With a smile, that's my home...
That's my home

No, no, no,no, no...
Don't lose who you are in the blur of the stars
Seeing is deceiving, dreaming is believing
It's okay not to be okay
Sometimes it's hard to follow your heart

Tears don't mean you're losing
Everybody's bruising
Just be true to who you are
Yeah, yeah, yeah

Just an inspiring song.
And once again she proves what an incredible voice she has.

I Did Not Keep Your Letters

I read them,
And then I threw them in the trash
But make no mistake, I read them.

I swallowed them whole.
I filled my eyes with every word,
I sewed them in patterns
Into my flesh of my body,
At night I wake to entertain the ghosts
Lounging in my bedroom
With impromptu recitations
Of your letters, of your thoughts,
Of the shape of you in words.

But I could not keep your letters.

I could not let them languish
In a dusty box, fermenting
Into poisons in the closet dark.
I could not let them lie in wait,
Like coiled paper vipers
Ready to strike the hand that strays
Too far and stirs the den.
