John Carter From Mars (2012)

Last week I saw Disney's John Carter.

With Taylor Kitsch playing the lead role.
I remember watching X-Men Origins: Wolverine and loving Gambit. Who on earth doesn't love that character? But now, after seeing him as John Carter made me I like him even more.
I thought this was going to be so bad. From what I had heard the storyline wasn't that strong and captivating but I thought that I had to watch it. Because proudly I've watch the majority films with super-heros based on comic books so I wasn't going to miss this one now.
And thanks God I didn't. The film is so good. My expectations were all wrong and maybe that's why I liked so much because as I said I thought this was going to suck.

If you haven't watch it, please, find a way, a watch.
There's some funny parts.
And the little dog that isn't a dog at all e the sweetest thing ever.

I read online they were planning a sequel but the box office wasn't as high as they were expecting so the idea is on hold. Unfortunately. Because I would see it. Definitely.

Lisa McMann - Gone

Gone is the third and last book on the Wake series written by Lisa McMann.

"Janie thought she knew what her future held. And she thought she'd made her peace with it. But she can't handle dragging Cabel down with her.

She knows he will stay with her, despite what she sees in his dreams. He's amazing. And she's a train wreck. Janie sees only one way to give him the life he deserves - she has to disappear. And it's going to kill them both.

Then a stranger enters her life - and everything unravels. The future Janie once faced now has an ominous twist, and her choices are more dire than she'd ever thought possible. She alone must decide between the lesser of two evils. And time is running out..."

When I read all the books and completed the trilogy I put my mind rolling and thinking about the story and what lessons I could take from it.
The first thing I remembered was the last book was as dramatic as the second not tragic as I would think it would be if I started with Wake like a normal person. Then I remember that these books can really make you think that we should live in the moment and don't rush things, but at the same time to think twice before acting. You can take so many lessons from these 3 books that if I'd wrote every single one, I was still writing a month from today.

They didn't made a new trailer for each book but here's trailer, once again.

I read some comments on Youtube about the film they are making based on Wake and some people were saying Miley Cyrus was set to play Janie.
If you ask my opinion I'd I would not chose her. Because if she plays this role her fans will only watch the film because she's there and not because they read the book and now want to see the film adaptation. But I understand that if she's there profits will be pretty high and that's what they want when making a film.
So I 'm going to watch with or without Miley.

Lisa McMann - Fade

Fade is the second book on the Wake trilogy written by Lisa McMann.

"For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. They're just trying ti carve out the little (secret) time together, but no such luck. Disturbing things happening at Fieldidge HIgh, yet nobody's talking.
When Janie taps into a classmate's violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open - but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie's in way over her head, and Cabe's shocking behavior has grave consequences for them both.

Worse yet, Janie learns the truth about herself and her ability. And it's bleak. Seriously, brutal bleak. Not only is her fate as a Dream Catcher sealed, but what's to come is way darker than she'd ever feared..."

At least this was the second book I read and is the second book from the 3, that was the only thing I did right.

Lisa McMann - Wake

After two weeks without touching my computer at all, here I am back. I will write a few posts on a roll so if you have the time, stick around ;)

So, I read Wake by Lisa McMann which is the first book on the trilogy.

"For seventeen-year-old Janie, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last her a lifetime.
She can't tell anybody about what she does - they'd never believed her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So janie lives on the fringe, cursed with an ability she doesn't want and can't control.
Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare, one that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more a than a witness to someone else's twisted psyche. She is a participant..."

I had a problem with this trilogy because I started by the last book, how stupid that may sound I understood enough to not see my mistake at the beginning, thus it will be pretty tough to explain the storyline and comment because my first book was the last and it's confusing.

I'm going to try my best, anyway.
During the first book, you see how Janie's life is and how her "super-power" is not that much of a positive thing and can almost and in an extreme level fatal.

I couldn't stop reading it despite my little accident. If you already read it you know these 3 books are pretty amazing. But if you haven't and are looking for some supernatural.and-romance kind of book I suggest this.

Here's the trailer.

Hart Of Dixie - Season Finale

Hi!

Yesterday was the season finale of CW's Hart Of Dixie.

This show has been renewed for another season for which I'm so, so happy about. Because right now this is one of my favourite tv shows. This season's Gossip Girl was a little boring. 90210 has been so disappointing this season.... So Hart Of Dixie has been my entertainment. I love Rachel Bilson, she's so pretty. Even though when the tv show started she was a little weird but now she's just like when she was on the OC.

Just in case, here's the preview.

I can't wait for the next season to start :)

Mia Rose - Call Me Maybe

Hello!

Seems like Mia Rose is back and this time she covered Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe.

I have to admit this isn't my favourite song but I think she did great, as usual.
In fact she made me listen to the song more than one time. I almost know the lyrics now.

Lauren Kate: Rapture Trailer

Heya!

The last book on the Fallen series is less than a month away from its release and I found the trailer.

Torture. That's what this is.
And I'm not just saying this because of the time I still have to wait, that too, but is torture mainly because it's the last book. The END.
How is it possible to want something so bad but at the same time don't want it at all?
Well, that's me right now. I want to know what happens to Daniel and Luce and what is so special about her but I don't want it to end. Not now. Not ever. I can read forever about how Daniel is graciously amazing... I don't mind a bit.

At least I still 28 days to get in my head that it had to end someday and there will be the silm adaptation so it isn't truly the end.

Cassadee Pope - Secondhand

Hey!

I said before I am a Hey Monday fan even thought they are taking a break as a band, I still listen to their music and now Cassadee Pope who is the vocalist is releasing an EP on 22th.
I discovered an acoustic version of one of the song that will be on her first EP.

The chorus is catchy and I really like the lyrics. She has an amazing voice. That's all I have to say. Can't wait for the EP.

Get The Gringo (2012)

Hi!

Today I watched Get The Gringo.

With Mel Gibson.
I had seen the trailer sometime ago and remember thinking it could be fun. Today my brother asked me if I wanted to see it with him and clearly said yes.

I don't know if there are real prisons like that one, but on Prison Break appears one similar which made me think probably there are and if they are like that... Jesus, it's horrible. Can you imagine all the sickness you can catch there?

Despite everything, it's so great! Mel Gibson is incredible. I don't know if he produced it but still, it's pretty pretty amazing. I glad I watched it.

City Of Lost Souls - Cassandra clare

Hello!

As you can confirm by this post and my willful delay on reading this, I was so, so anxious about City Of Lost Souls written by Cassandra Clare.

"Can the lost be reclaimed? What price is too high to play for love? Who can be trusted when sin and salvation collide? Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. Darkness threatens to claim the Shadowhunters in the harrowing fifth book of the Mortal Instruments series."

When I finished City Of Fallen Angels and during the torturous wait until City Of Lost Souls and anxious as I was, I imagined every kind of storyline for the 5th book. I made many films in my head about what could happen.
Let me just say, neither of them was close to the real one.
Well, that's not true, once I imagined Jace died, so I was pretty close that time... ;)

The Avengers (2012)

Heya!

I saw The Avengers today.

I'm sure pretty much everyone has seen it by now. Because people said, it made more money than all the Harry Potter movies together so I think that.

Melissa Darnell - Crave

Hey!

After four days without touching my computer, here I am back to write about the last book I read which is Crave - the first book on the The Clann series - written by Melissa Darnell.

"Savannah Colbert has been shunned all her lifee by kids of the Clann. And when she undergoes some drastic changes after a strange illness, Savannah learns secrets about the group and about herself - Savannah herself  - dangerous secrets. For the Clann are powerful magic users, and Savannah herself is half Clann and half vampire - a forbidden, unheard of combination. Falling for Clann golden boy Tristan Coleman isn't just a bad idea - it could be deadly if anyone finds out. But her attraction to Tristan - and his to her - isnt something either of them can resist for long."

When I read the summary on iBooks it was nothing like this one I found on Melissas's official website because if I had known it was with vampires I would've skipped.

Mia Rose - Somebody That I Used To Know

Hi!

After 3 months Mia Rose posted a new video on her Youtube channel.
This time she did a cover of Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye.

I think it sounds pretty good.
Despite the fact that she's focusing more on another things other than her music career, each time she posts a video on Youtube... I'm always happy and excited.

This Means War (2012)

Hello!

I saw This Means War today.

With Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.
First I thought this would be something like Mr. and Mrs. Smith but with a twist on her because she's the "normal-girl". But I thought they were the cool-badass-totally gorgeous guys who work for CIA and accidently both met and fall for her and she has to chose one of them. That last part is true. Is exactly what happens in the film. I hit that pretty well.

In general the film is funny. They both have hilarious moments but the end is so predictable. Who she chooses is perceptible in the first half of the film. Im my opinion I wouln't choose who she chose but I understand her reasons.
To finalized, I thought it was different. But it's funny.

Here's the trailer:

John Mayer - Shadow Days

Heya!

Despite being with sobre health problems John Mayer is still releasing his album this month which makes me happy and sad at the same time...

But here's the music video for Shadow Days.

If the whole album is going to be like this, well, expect lots of post about it. I love this!

Some time ago, I posted these lyrics, click here if you want to see them.

21 Jump Street (2012)

Hey!

Today I saw 21 Jump Street.

With Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum.
I thought this was some bad film like those made-for-tv films but but this had a little more budget. Then, my brother was going to see it and asked me if I wanted to join him. At first I said no but he was convincing enough and I finally said yes.
Well, was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I hadn't laughed like that in so long. It's funny. Super funny. It's impossible to see and not laugh. I laughed for 5 minutes straight. I think it's even more funnier because when you see the more common poster you think is some lame film but then surprises you with its funniness.

It's one of those you wish you could erase from your memory and watch again and have the same reaction.

The trailer doesn't make it justice but here it is:

As usual, after watching I did a little research and discovered that there's a sequel being made which is great because I want to see it. I won't miss it for anything.
