Lisa McMann - Fade

Fade is the second book on the Wake trilogy written by Lisa McMann.

"For Janie and Cabel, real life is getting tougher than the dreams. They're just trying ti carve out the little (secret) time together, but no such luck. Disturbing things happening at Fieldidge HIgh, yet nobody's talking.
When Janie taps into a classmate's violent nightmares, the case finally breaks open - but nothing goes as planned. Not even close. Janie's in way over her head, and Cabe's shocking behavior has grave consequences for them both.

Worse yet, Janie learns the truth about herself and her ability. And it's bleak. Seriously, brutal bleak. Not only is her fate as a Dream Catcher sealed, but what's to come is way darker than she'd ever feared..."

At least this was the second book I read and is the second book from the 3, that was the only thing I did right.
As the summary says, it's in the second book the reader discovers what is truly her power and its consequences. I must say that when I read what was going to happen to her I felt bad for Janie. She tries to help others and is congratulated with that?! It just didn't felt right to me. But at the same time I understand that the book needed some tragic-dramatic aspect about it so that's that.

My friend asked me if I liked the second book better than the first and honestly I can't pick one off the 3. They all complete each other so without one you don't understand everything and each one has some great parts. Even with Cabel, there's some pretty cute scenes with him.

In conclusion: this may be the most chocking because we discover all the bad thing that will happen to her in the future but is also captivating and despite the tragedies I'm sure anybody who read the book didn't thought about not reading the third.
