But Hush!

Cold bleak wintertime lies ahead

With blustery wind and pouring rain.
But hush! The spring is never dead
When crimson roses bloom again.

Bells may ring, and choirboys sing
They seem to forget the guns of war.
For in the spring, skylarks take wing
And true hearts are in love evermore.
