Dreamworks: Turbo

Hey!

I know this isn't freshly-fresh news but I'm just now having time to write here so there you go.
Dreamsworks is releasing a new animated film this Summer and let me tell you, by this trailer I'm pretty sure it'll turn into a favourite.

With Ryan Reynolds being the adorable main character. I can't wait for this.

Iron Man 3

Heya!

As I said here many times, Iron Man is doubtless one of the best super heroes ever. When I say this I mean the books and most recently the films with the amazing Robert Downey Jr.
Well, this week was released the trailer for the third film.

I'm just going to cross my fingers until April and pray that this doesn't suck.
If I'm thinking straight it won't. Because Robert Downey Jr. is still playing hard-core the main character.

Either way, you can bet I'm going to see this.

Blue Lagoon: The Awakening (2012)

Hi!

Since I was on some australian vibe, I decided to see Blue Lagoon: The Awakening.

Ok, I admit, I watched this because Brenton Thwaites was the main male character because I've watched the first one from 1980 and honestly I must be the only girl that doesn't love that film. I just can't understand how some teenagers being stuck on an island and trying to survive at the same time they're falling in love and discovering sexuality and all that can be super "adorable". I get that they can be cute because they're just kids living alone and swiming with turtles but... I don't know...
Anyway, this version is an update from the second version which is from 1991, making this one the third version of the same subject.
Well, I didn't see the one from 1991 so I can't talk about that but the first and this are totally diferent. First thing I noticed when it ended was that she did not get pregnant which I think is normal because today we girls have more information and can somehow "control" that from happening. I could make a list with all the differences but both are so opposed to one another that I'd stay here writing the rest of the week. Either way if you liked the others you'll probably like this one, too.

Here's the trailer:

What To Expect When You're Expecting (2012)

Heya!

Today I saw What To Expect When You're Expecting.

I have to confess something shameful: I only to see this film because of Chace Crawford. Yup, that's right.
But in the end the film is kind of funny and is easy to watch.

Basically this is about a few women who get pregnat at the same time and the whole film is about how each one of them reacts to it. Meanwhile there's the husbands point of view wich is pretty fun.

Here's the trailer:

Vanishing On 7th Street (2010)

Hello!

During these last days I saw Vanishing On 7th Street.

I wanted to see this because I really loved Hayden Christensen in Jumper and was missing watching something with him.

This has terror, thriller and action vibes throughout the entire film which is cool because if you don't like terror movies this is torelable and enjoyable for you without lacking on that "adrenaline" that terror movies are famous for.

I liked it very much even though the end was... weird? disappointing? I don't know what it was but I sure wasn't expecting that. If you already watched tell me what you thought about it, I'd love to read it.

Now that I've seen it a few days ago I can clearly say it is just to say that if you have faith you'll get there where you want and need to be but still is a weird ending...

Here's the trailer.

The Cold Light Of Day (2012)

Heya!

I finally watched The Cold Light Of Day.

I wanted to watch this since I saw its trailer on Apple's website which is you are aware it was a long time ago. Now I've seen it and well, even if some people are saying that it was disappointing I can't agree 100%. I admit the trailer made it look a little different. Like it was going to feature more "action" and the storyline could be a little more complex, I guess. But either way it's a great action film.

A few months ago I wrote how I love The Cound Of Monte Cristo and if you saw the film adaptation I talked about you might rememer Henry Cavill as Albert. Look who is all grown up and has shoulders and is obviously cute?! haha

If you still need to be convinced, here's the trailer.

Step Up: Revolution

Hey!

Yesterday I saw the fourth film on the Step Up series: Step Up Revolution.

If you saw any of the 3 previous films you know that what this basically about: a group of young street dancers who want to prove themselves and leave a message. In all the fourth films I think they all want that with different ways and problems inbetween, sure, but same end result.

I'll be honest and say the third was pretty boring. I thought the storyline was lacking on something that the two previous films had. I don't know what it is, though. I just know that while watching I was more caught up  on the other 2. I just kept watcing tht third because Moose was still there.
Now, on th fourth I was s little excitant but gave it a try, anyway. Well, this is a bit better on the storyline sometimes but still there's something missing...

In conclusion: I liked it. Moose makes an apperance which is always funny. So, watch it, if you haven't yet. I can't I'll watch it as easily as I've watch the first two films but is a good sequel.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

Hi!

I didn't read all the books but they're so funny and easy to read that I'm sure I will eventually.

A few weeks ago they published the trailer for the third film wich is the fourth book in the series.
I think in the US the film has already hit the cinemas but where I live it isn't yet.

Sounds so much fun! Can't wait to see it.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011)

Hi!

I forgot to write here last year when I read the book but during the past week I saw the film adaptation.

Obviously the book is better. Without any question. But I think they did a pretty good version.

I did no think Daniel Craig could pull something this type of film off but he did it. I enjoy watching him as a journalist. But Rooney Mara. as the main character, is the star in this. While reading I actually amagines someone physically like her which is a positive aspect. Usually when you read a book you imagine one character in an specific way and when they tunr the book into a film the same character is totally different and that often is a deception.

I haven't read the rest of the tilogy but I'm sure I will eventually.

Here's the trailer.

Ted (2012)

Heya!

When I saw the trailer a few months ago if not last year, I instantly thought it was going to be a fun film to watch.

My sure it's one of the most talked films of the year and there are thousands of blogs and websites already giving their opinion and critics but still. I'm talking about it.
I watched it this weekend with my brother and we laughed pretty much the entire time. It's nice to see Mark Walhberg not fighting with anyone or being a badass as usual. Here, he's just a normal citizen with a famous best friend who actually is a stuffed animal that talks and is kind of annoying but incredibly funny.
The film is super easy to watch and the storyline isn't complicated so you are caught up in it easily.

I bet there aren't few people that haven't seen this trailer, but here it is once again.

The Amzing Spider-Man (2012)

Heya!

Today I had the opportunity to see The Amazing Spider-Man. Finally.

When I heard about this and saw the first trailer I was so excited and happy and obviously anxious but then I discovered that he wouldn't have spider webs just like in the comic books and my opinion changed. I love Spider-Man. It's my favourite super-hero right beside Iron Man because Robert Downey Jr is the coolest person ever. Ok, so when I knew he wouldn't have natural spider webs I started to think it wasn't going to be as great as I had thought. But after that I remembered Emma Stone was going to be his girlfriend and as fan of hers as I am I wasn't going to pass this film.
Well, thank God I didn't.
So, so good! I enjoyed very much the previous trilogy but with the 3D effects and all that new tech they used on this, this one is a bit better.
I have no idea when they are making the sequel but for me it could be tomorrow. I know some rumors saying in 2014... Let's see.

Magic Mike (2012)

Hey!

After God knows how long, I went to my local cinema. To see what? Magic Mike.

I know some people will think that every girl wants to see this film just because there are a few guys almost every second half naked. Well, that's true. I probably am one of them. But If I'm being honest, I watched it because Alex Pettyfer was there. Oh, Alex Pettyfer and Matt Bomer, obviously, even though I like Alex a little bit better because he's british. Sorry, Matt :S

I enjoy watching this not just because they're all good looking but it's fun and was perfect to pass my late afternoon. But the end... The end was a disappointing. It feels like they just cut it in the middle. I think it left too many things open but since Channing Tantum said they are working on the sequel I guess it makes sense. I'm almost absolute sure I'm going to see it.

Colombiana (2012)

Hello!
I wanted to see Colombiana for a while and finally my brother asked me if I wanted to join him, obviously I said yes.

After watching this I think everybody agree's when I say Zoe Saldana is this total badass-hero-avenger kind of gal. Her character is so balanced. She has everything covered. From the begining she already and that's pretty impressive. I always like to watch an action film where the main character is a female, is quite rare to find a good one with that quality.

Taken 2

Hey!

Did you love or love Taken with Liam Neeson?
Even though it reaches a dramatic and serious subject I did find myself each minute more captivated while watching. And it fights with you sense of justice which makes you end up just wanting all the bad guys dead as much as Liam's character.
Now they're doing the sequel.

I'm not going to miss this film for sure.

The Odd Life Of Timothy Green

Hey!

I entered on Youtube to see if any of my favourite Youtubers published anything when I saw this trailer for The Odd Life Of Timothy Green. I thought the name was interesting and decided to click and watch this 1:02 long video.

So what do you think?
I think it can be good. Well, either way we have to wait to confirm that because it premieres only in August.

Chronicle (2012)

Hi!

During my absence last month I compensated with watching films. Some of them I already wrote here. And Chronicle is one of those I haven't.

I wanted to see this for a while. And was completely different from what I thought it was, as usual. That happens everytime with me.

The film is more complex than what it makes you think by seeing the trailer but it's also so much better.
I realy liked the fact that the viewer is always watching by some camera nearby, the majority of times it's one of the 3 main characters recording but there are parts where they aren't the ones filming and it's pretty cool.

As I said before I don't like spoilers so I try my best to not be one and that makes writing these kinds of post so much harder... Simply because I don't know what to write without giving away too much.

The film is so good. Even my older brother was captivated and he doesn't like these types of films.
So, if you have an opportunity watch it. I'm sure you'll like it.

Here's the trailer:

Some people were talking about a sequel, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I would love to se a second film.

Battleship (2012)

Hey!

Today June starts and I'm ready to return to my one-post-everyday routine. May was a tough month but I'm hoping June will be nicer.

I saw this film a few weeks ago but since I've been away from the computer and consequently the blog I'm going to talk about Battleship.

One more film with Taylor Kitsch. And I saw Battleship right after John Carter. He's pretty cool.

When I watched the little trailer on TV, I saw it was another film with aliens. I thought it was something similar o Cowboys vs Aliens thus I wasn't interested. But once again my brother forced me to see this and well it was a nice surprise.
It isn't anything like I thought it would be and after all it was good and fun, because there are some funny parts during the most serious ones.

I'm not a huge fan of aliens, even though I love supernatural stuff, you'd thought I was at least a bit interested, but I was actually able to enjoy watching this and at some part I was captivated and deeply into it.

Here's the trailer:

Get The Gringo (2012)

Hi!

Today I watched Get The Gringo.

With Mel Gibson.
I had seen the trailer sometime ago and remember thinking it could be fun. Today my brother asked me if I wanted to see it with him and clearly said yes.

I don't know if there are real prisons like that one, but on Prison Break appears one similar which made me think probably there are and if they are like that... Jesus, it's horrible. Can you imagine all the sickness you can catch there?

Despite everything, it's so great! Mel Gibson is incredible. I don't know if he produced it but still, it's pretty pretty amazing. I glad I watched it.

The Avengers (2012)

Heya!

I saw The Avengers today.

I'm sure pretty much everyone has seen it by now. Because people said, it made more money than all the Harry Potter movies together so I think that.

This Means War (2012)

Hello!

I saw This Means War today.

With Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.
First I thought this would be something like Mr. and Mrs. Smith but with a twist on her because she's the "normal-girl". But I thought they were the cool-badass-totally gorgeous guys who work for CIA and accidently both met and fall for her and she has to chose one of them. That last part is true. Is exactly what happens in the film. I hit that pretty well.

In general the film is funny. They both have hilarious moments but the end is so predictable. Who she chooses is perceptible in the first half of the film. Im my opinion I wouln't choose who she chose but I understand her reasons.
To finalized, I thought it was different. But it's funny.

Here's the trailer:
