Rua Diario De Noticias

We can hardly move,
With so much music.

We are, therefore, here
To serve an exact purpose.
 We look like generals
On horses.
Here's the battlefield
Where defeat awaits us:
The street corners that wind
'Till our last yawn
And people listening
To their own story
In the songs

Music, not time,
Can heal certain wounds.

The Promise

She said it's just like Hollywood
Now I'm afraid
Because the boy forgets the girl
While she sits home and waits
But you promised me you won't
And you've never lied so please don't

If you want L.A. then go to L.A.
Despite the miles between us
My heart will never change
'Cause you're all that it beats for
When you're all back to that door...

I'm not saying that I don't believe
I'm exactly where I want to be
Don't you take that from me, no...

You know I still get lost in your eyes
With your lips and your kiss and you're hand in mine
You're all that I need
And I promise I'll sleep fine tonight
Just knowing you're here by my side
Don't give this up, don't give this up

I'm not saying that I don't believe
I'm exactly where I want to be
Don't you take that from me, no...

You keep on running, you're running away
I'll be here waiting wishing you could stay
But I'll just remember the promise that you made, whoa

I'll keep on fighting, I'm fighting for you
I swear I would give you the sun and the moon
If you'll just remember the promise you made

Oh, oh, oh, oh...
I'm not saying that I don't believe
I'm exactly where I want to be
Don't you take that from me, no...

I'm not saying that I don't believe
I'm exactly where I want to be
Don't you take that from me
Don't you take that from me

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

Maggie Stiefvater - Forever

Hi!

No I did not read it all already.

I am/was halfway and did something I should've known I should not do: pause the page I'm in and go read the last page of the book. I hate doing it and in the last ones I read I didn't do it and didn't even remember because there was no need, but now I was so axious about this being the last book in the series that I really wanted to know how it'd end.
I have to say - without saying too much - that I didn't like what I read and then I don't know if I understood everything. Well the thing is now i don't think I will end it today or tomorrow, because I'm stupid and feel like desappointment, like I was betrayed.

And I was kind of dumb because the cover says it all but I thought it was the beginning or something like that.

I'm going to end this post saying I'm a lover of happy endings in the books. In films I can work with a bad end or sad end but books, no. I just can't.

Maggie Stiefvater - Linger

Hello!

This one was definitely less then 24h.

So after Shiver comes Linger.
100% complete.
I wrote yesterday that I thought this was more dramatic and then I said maybe no. Well, yes!
Linger has way more problems and emotions and feelings mixed up that I can say I ended it tired. More characters featuring the usual and more human-wolf and vise-versa situations. If Shiver has some breathtaking parts, Linger doesn't stand far in the back at all. Some parts are really sweet and romantic but when it comes to "real" parts well, hold on tight because if you're into the story you'll suffer as they do.

Starting Forever tonight. The last book in The Wolves Of Mercy Falls series. After all of so much events in the previously book I don't know what can be worst or better for Grace and Sam. When the reader reads the end of the second book it's obviously understandable what's going to happen or what's going Forever be about, but how?
I'm seriously obsessed with this books.

More Linger info here.

Maggie Stiefvater - Shiver

Heya!

I was wanting to read this book for quite sometime.

If I count all the hours I think would be a day I took to read it all but I had to sleep so it wasn't really 24h straight.
I have to say it was very surprising. I new it featured wolfs and I was kind of hesitating because of all the Twilight thing and stuff but nothing compares to that. Nothing.
One thing I really liked was Maggie approaches several sensitive topics with such a subtlety that the reader don't even notice how serious and important it is. Yeah, really liked.
It's easy to read, the vocabulary is simple. The characters are very well described and made me think I could be one of them or know one of them, like be friends or family.
Totally recommended.
If you want more info go here.

Now I'm reading the second - Linger. I'm not gonna tell anything about the storyline but I think so far this is a little more dramatic, I mean... You know what? actually at second thought I think it has the same level of drama, after all I'm in the beginning.

So excited about this series.
